The batteries are also held in with very very strong Velcro. I took the whole battery pack containing 2 batteries to batteries plus store and they had the batteries in stock and replaced them for me. Be careful to watch because they almost broke the housing trying to pry the battery out. The Velcro is just that strong.

Put in new batteries and scooter will not do anything

It could that your potentiomenter is broken and would need to be replaced. simply removed the housings from both sides to get to the throttle part and check to see if the spring is not broken. if it is broken, simply remove old one and buy new one which should be around 60.00 and up in cost. can go to this website to check

How do I replace the battery?

to replace the batteries in your Go-Go you need to remove the battery case from the scooter and turn it upside down . as you use an AGM gel battery you will not spill any thing i change mine out every 400 charge cycle as they are good for about that long. on the bottom of the case you will find 8 screws you need to take out to open the case you will need a 6 to 8 inch long Philips screw driver for this. after you remove all the screws you need to turn the box up right and remove the top.inside you will find 2 batteries. you will need to replace both batteries to ensure the full 24 volt to power the scooter. yes you use any AGM gel battery.i get mine at batteries plus as it cost about half the price.
carefully using 2 wrenches loosen and remove the small bolts and nuts holding the cables leads to the batteries' terminals, there should be 2 black and 2 red. now either draw how they attached to the positive and negative terminals or mark them in some manner. The batteries have two velcro strips on the bottom of each battery. remove the strips and place in the same position on the new batteries now place the new batteries in the box and press down firmly to seat the velcro, attach the cable leads to the proper terminal, replace the top and turn box upside down and replace the screws. now the batteries are ready to charge up so you can do as i do... race like at speed demon around in circles... happy scooting

Have a Panther Scooter and we want to replace the battery, how do we get to the old one.

Jean you have to remove the seat then the rear shroud and you will find the two batteries strapped into the frame disconnect the battery cables from the wiring harness and lift the batteries out of the scooter remove the cables from the old batteries and reinstall the cables paying attention thast you connect them like they were on the old abtteries ie red to positive posts and black to negative posts. Reinstall into the scooter strap down and turn the scooter on to make sure that you have power. If everything works correctly reinstall the shroud and the seat then charge the batteries before use and you should be good to go Charge the batteries every night and they should last a good while Hope this helps you

I need to find a stackable battery box for my scooter, as well as what batteries are needed. Also, what charger should be used with it? I bought used from a private party-no charger and the small battery...

James your scooter use 2 12-12ah batteries located inside the battery case. Just remove the screws holding the case together and remove the old batteries then replace with the new ones making sure that you repace the wiring just as you removed them from the old batteries you might also have a heat sensor attached to one of the batteries make sure you reattach that to the new batteries. Any off board charger made for power chairs or scooters will work but try to find a 4 amp charger with an on/off switch. Always turn the charger off when plugging or unplugging from the scooter Check on e-bay or with a provider for a charger Hope this helps

Replacing the battery on a mobility scooter

hi, ok remove the seat by turning it to the left, there is a lever normally on the right side that will allow it be turned round,

once you done that, lift the seat in a upwards motion, the cover should come away by gemerally lifting it, it should be attached by velco underneath,

you should now see two batteries. 40Ah batteries will allow you to go further if the battery Ah is lower, 50ah batteries again will allow you can go even further NOT faster, if you buy the larger AH batteries please make sure the dimensions of the batteries will fit within the scooter battery holders.

Action Flyer Mobility Scooter

below the seat is a post that slides into the pastic part of the base ... there's a bolt that you need to remove first ...use 2 wrenches . Once the bolt is removed ...grab hold of the seat firmly and lift straight up with both hands. now that the seat is removed , the plastic part can swing back to expose the batteries . The batteries can be disconnected with the right size wrench and then you just pull up with the battery handle .
