Picture freezes and audio continues, then audio stops and not picture. It come back then starts again. It also take time for it to shutdown when turning it off.

    So the color wheel would affect the TV Picture Freezing? The colors are fine. The picture freezes then the audio goes out, and screen goes blank. When turning off TV it takes it awhile to shutdown.

    Ok my Model is HLR5667WAX. I have placed my TV on the floor, unplug the power and the HDMI cable, then I reconnected everything and it has been working for 20 minutes thus far. It would have usaully started having the issue. Should I still look into the color wheel? I listened to the wheel spinning it seems to be fine.

    If your TV is A DLP problem will be the Color Wheel Part# should be BP96-00674A Encompass Parts Distrubtion has them for $129.69 you can also go to there Website and Look up Parts for your TV just type in your Model# their Ph# 1-800-638-3328

    Yes ,Color Wheel turns at 9,000rpms per second so what is happening is it is locking up bearings are bad they have a very tiny motor to them!

    Go to Encompass Parts Distrubtion onlline Look up this Model # HLP5063W look for part number BP96-00674A they will show you a picture of it , It is Located behind your Lamp when you Pull Lamp out ,use a Flash Light you will see it Watch how it turns when you turn TV on.I will be online all day and most of the Night so if you need to know anything else I always Keep a CK on my Email.

    It will be on right side where Lamp is Pull Lamp Out.Located right behind where Lamp plugs into.

    I would just let it Play for now and see what it does,but if it does the same thing again you know what to do now, I have heard of where the Color Wheel has just broke and flew into tiny pieces, but most of the time they either freeze up or begin to make a loud squealing noise. I would just keep a watch on it for now! Anothr clue to is it does take its time shuting down to turn off. Good Luck with your TV.

Picture freeze,long tme to restart does it again
Unless you have good / fast access to the Internet (or wireless or 4G network), it may take a long time to download a movie to your device. If the speed of download is slower than the speed of the play, the picture freezes ... essentially, it is waiting for the completion of the download for the next few frames (of the movie). That is why the picture freeze .... and it will start again after sufficient data has been download to continue / start playing (the movie) again.

The light is blinking a code. The code will be a series of blinks, a pause and the blinks again. Phone Sony service and give them this code. They will be able to advise you as to the problem.

Sounds like a slow internet connection. Try pausing the video until it has buffered at least halfway and then play again.

Several problems
you may want to check all of your coax conections and stray ground shield piece littl tiny silver mtal wire will cause that reaction or you may have a ad reciever if so if ou have the directv inurance they will replace it for no cost to you at all.
