Hello! I have a USB cable to connect my Motorola L6 to my desk top computer. After detecting a new hardware the windows asks for a CD installation, which I do not have. Where can I find it?

During the installation of the software, it asks you to connect the phone to the PC using the USB cable, when you connect, it tries to detect, if it fails to detect, unplug the USB (mini USB) from the phone and plug it back. now it detects for sure..

wait till it completes..
click on next and proceed, you have to select the option GSM from the 4 options listed.
then select the L6 options from the list.
the the setup gets completed and the application will be lanched automatically.
click on ok for Default user if it asks you.

Most of the time we get this issue in the process of detecting the phone only..

You can get rid of the issue by using the step above.

Connect your Motorola L6 phone by using a USB cable until the system tray shows you the pop-up message “Found Motorola L6 Modem”. You’ll meet the “Add New Hardware Wizard” dialog box then. Follow the instructions until you told to specify an exact location for the corresponding hardware, which is your Motorola L6 phone.
When your files are located, a dialog box will warn you whether to stop or continue the installation since the driver hasn’t digitally signed by Windows. Click “Continue Anyway”, Windows will start to copy the driver files into a specific location. As the process finished, your Motorola L6 phone will automatically turn its mode to Loud and start charging the battery.
That’s all. Next thing you should do is set up your internet connection through Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network Connections. Get yourself to the Files menu and choose New connection.. You’ll be guided with a step by step New Connection Wizard.

Motorola L6 just like V3 and other older models isn't directly recognized by windows and because of this
you need a special software designed for Motorola phones called Mototools.

Mototools 6 runs on any windows version from Windows 98 to XP. You can download it by clicking here.

The installation process is simple and takes only a few minutes to setup. Once you've installed it connect your phone to your PC and open up Mototools which will act like a file manager between your PC and your phone.

first thing you do is install the cd you have, then connect the data cable to one of your usb ports, and connect the phone to it, you'll see a screen same that a new hardware has been detected after that's all done you can just go into my computer and look for removebable drive and look for the pictures there.

you will have to buy a CD for the software. go to any motorola shop and ask them for a CD that will install the software into your PC and then will recognize the device.

Hello. First you have to go to www.motox.info , regester on thier site, goto the downloads section and download the motorola drivers. They should be right at the top. Once you have them installed, go to connections in your phone, then go to usb settings, and choose the "use as mass storage" option instead of usb sync.
