ROSEN G8 dvd player - no speaker sound

With the radio turned on or off, press the ALARM button with quick, short presses, over and over, noticing that a speaker or a bell appears under the box labeled 'Timer' in the upper left corner of the display. Leave the speaker there if you want the speaker alarm to turn the radio on; leave the bell if you want to wake up to a beeper. Leave it blank, with no speaker or bell if you do not want the alarm.

Sometimes a beep when off is telling you that it is one standby or it is telling you the battery is becoming depleted.

I think are the frequencies used. I don't have any experience with the Rosen players, but are you sure its supposed to come through the speakers?

As they normaly come with 2x headphones, and speakers are an option extra. I take it you have checked in all pockets under front seats and under rear floor and under center floor for any hidden.

The Rosen A7 should have a built in FM modulator/transmitter... it sends sound on the FM band. It can be tuned in on the radio in the car, and thus you hear sound from the Rosen on your car speakers ( Description ).

Put a cd in the dvd player then tune to the channel and it should work, then try a dvd.
When dvd player does not boot up and display the Kia logo, try moving the door as the hinge turns on the screen and sometimes the connection in the hinge can play up a bit.

On most overhead systems there is a switch or button that turns the sound off the headphones. Also sometimes if the headphones are turned off sometimes that enables the audio to goto the vehicles system. Do you have it directly connected to the cars radio or do you have a wireless fm modulator that you have to tune it to an fm radio station?

If it's a Rosen dvd player the dvd will need to be put in the unit itself & not the unit in the dashboard! The dvd player mounted in the head ligning is a seperate unit from the stereo system fitted in your dashboard!
Sounds to me like you are putting a dvd into the dashboard stereo system which will play any audio through the car speakers...
Put a dvd into the Rosen unit itself & i am sure you will get a picture on the drop down screen! Remember that as far as i know all Rosen dvd players transmit the sound from the dvd to infra red headphones that should be included! Remember to check the batteries if you still can't hear any sound as they run down quick if the headphones are left on!

Hi, The A7 has 3 sound modes. With the unit on press the speaker button and on the screen it will say either "Headphone sound only" or "Speaker sound enabled". Pressing the speaker button will toggle these modes back and forth. If you don't hear any sound when it says "Speaker sound enabled " it may be that it was wired using the FM Modulator, which means it uses the car speakers. For them to work, turn on your radio and tune it to 87.9 or 88.3. Good Luck!

Check to see if Speaker A (Under the Power Button) is pressed, if Speaker A is selected, the icon will illuminate in the Display panel. Try Speaker B if this should not be the case. Generally, the Speaker A setting will supply power to all connections from the internal amplifier. Speaker B will supply frequency signals to a preamp or minimal power to an aux. room.

The on-screen menu appears only when the selected source is DVD or VCD on the DVD/VCD/CD player and the disc is in the slot and NOT PLAYING. On the remote control ONLY: 1. Press CHOICE (it should work now) LANGUAGE menu appears. 2 Press Cursor to move to the menu you want? which is AUDIO Selected item changes its color to green. THEN: 1. Display EXPERT SPEAKER SETTING menu. 2. Press Cursor to select ?TEST TONE,? then press ENTER. ?TEST TONE? changes its color to green and test tone comes out of in the following sequence?left front speaker, center speaker, right front speaker, right rear speaker, and left rear speaker. ? Test tone is output only when the tray loaded with a DVD is selected, but not playing. 3. Press Cursor to move to ?C.SPK? LEVEL? or ?R.SPK?LEVEL,? then press ENTER. 4. Press Cursor to adjust the output level, then press ENTER. ? You can adjust the output level from ??6 dB? to ?+6 dB.? 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to adjust the other speaker output level. 6. Press Cursor to select ?TEST TONE,? then press ENTER. Test tone stops. 7. When finished, press Cursor to move to ?EXIT,? then press ENTER. EXPERT SPEAKER SETTING menu disappears.
