you have to enter the entire tag info from the camera to get anything on line..model serial megapixels etc..

It will only see anything if there is an infrared light source. It's got an infrared led for this, but that wil probably only illuminate the first meter from the camera, you need an IR light, such as the onse used witrh security camera's to see further

It's sounds like it's trying to find it's operating program...try going to the Bell Howell website and up date your firmware.
