Panasonic Microwave Genius 1200W stop working. I move a little bit electric cord and it went on again. Then I pressed one min quick reheating. It blinks and stop working. Any solution ?

Not good news; Panasonic uses a technologically superior power supply with higher efficiency but an overall worse record than those using a 'linear' supply with far fewer parts and a good track record of reliability.

The modern (switched mode) power supply places a lot more stress on components and requires more and higher quality parts than the old-style circuit.

H97, H98 or H99 mean that there's a problem with your inverter, magnetron, or digital programming circuit.

Sounds like a spring let go, or the plastic piece that the spring hooks onto broke. Either way, the top cover will have to come off. Could be an easy fix unless something broke.

You may have a failed keypad or moisture or grease on the keypad innards or on the control circuit board itself.

See if this describes what's happening:

• Put in time, push start and unit runs for 2 seconds, relay clicks, unit goes off. Cook time on display goes off and clock time comes back. Bad upper interlock switch and charred connector.

Otherwise, if the digital programmer circuit / controller does not get a feedback signal from the inverter for a period of 3 seconds, the controller will stop the cook cycle.

That may be a loose connection in the wiring between the inverter, magnetron, and/or control board, or maybe one of those components has failed.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

It could be just the fuse and fixed for a couple bucks. Only way to know is open it up and check it. Eric

It sounds like it is the "magnetron" has given up. In any Microwave there is a device called magnetron. This is the device which radiates microwave to heat up anything inside for set time.

Before the device gives up most of the time usually the microwave makes little bit of loud noise. Usually it happens when there is abnormal power.

Remedy: Any qualified technician should be able to replace it. The spare is available from the service centre of the manufacturer. In most cases spare is expensive and it is better off to buy another one.

The 22 seconds is the giveaway. In most cases, this is a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.
