if you have forgotten the combo the only way to figure it out is to progress the combo starting from 000 and then 001,002,003,004 etc...( trying the lock at every new series until you get the correct combo. a 3 digit combo should only take about 10 to 20 minutes to solve. you can cut the time in half if you can remember the first number or the last number.

on the back of some of those dial combo locks there are small numbers stamped in the back ~~ with those numbers your local locksmith shop can look up the combo for a small charge.

if you have forgotten the code, then the only way to get the lock open would be to 'progress' the combo. to do this - you will start say at 0000 and try the lock, then 0001 try the lock then 0002,0003,0004,0005 etc .. all the way thru all the numbers until you do hit the right combo and the lock opens. this will take anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours to go thru all the way to 9999,, but since the correct combo will be somewhere in between, it should only take about 45 minutes to a hour to get the lock open. now what will help in the speed of finding the combo is if you can remember one or two of the numbers ( example: 5400,5401,5402,5403,5404,5405,5406 etc... ).
I am not sure what city you live in - but there is a chance that your local locksmith shop may have what we call ' readers ' -- and with these 'readers' there is a way to figure out the combo in about 3 minutes and a cost of about 15 dollars,, so you can call around to some of the shops in your area and see if they have them and are able to open the lock for you.

start at 000 - try the latch, then go to 001 - and try the latch, then to 002,003,004,005,006,007 etc... trying the latch at every number,, keep going through the numbers until the lock finally opens with the right combo --- this should only take you about 15 to 20 minutes to figure out the combo since I am sure you will not make it all the way to 999 -- what will help the speed of this progression is if you can remember at least one of the numbers.

some locksmith shops do have special tools ( readers ) that might be able to read the wheels and figure out the combo for you --- call around and ask some of the lock shops in your area if they have the ability to read the lock for you,, but if they can't - then you are back to square one ( progression ).

Do you have your " lock code ". Then enter it instead of the security code. Its default is in the manual.
