My HSU vft-2 keeps clicking on and off while I am listening to it. I cannot figure out why. If i tilt it to look at the back the same problem occurs. there is click click noise and the sound goes out it clicks agian and then the sound is back.

I do not know anything about this but from a manual I have seen its tied in with Timer and Sleep functions there are a lot of instruction manuals ou on the web but you description is to generic you need a model number of which there are a lot.

I suspect that the speaker levels need to be set. You connected everything right - many people would not have connected the sats via the bass section (which has their high pass crossover and overload protection). But I am betting the HSU is turned up a bit on the high side.
Try this. Set all speakers to small, set all levels to 0. Play the receiver in stereo all mode. If the bass is strong, you need to turn the HSU down closer to a natural sound. Then use the speaker setup tone and adjust as needed.
