Aug 2, 2018 - THE ERROR CODE PROBLEM OF MOTOR POWERSUPPLY BOARD (SMALL DAUGHTER BOARD TOP OF THE SCANNER UNIT), Transistor no of 905,903 like ..before you change check motor ...
That indicates the fusor is showing an error. Usually it needs replacement. A refurbished one sells for about $90 and this is something you can do at home. About as hard as changing the toner cartridge.
Normally I would say you should compare the repair cost to replacement of the printer but the HP's are meant to be serviced. This means you can get all of the parts that wear out and the printers tend to be better built than the newer plastic based printers. So if it prints well for you it is worth considering keeping it.
A fan failure was detected.Printer fan or Duplex fan. 1. Check the fan’s connector and make sure the
fan is not blocked. 2. Replace the fan.
On older style printers this is often caused
by a bad main motor. (Older style printer being printers with halogen
heating elements in the fuser - 4, 4+, 5, 4si, 5si, etc).
You don't have to initialize the extra memory on that printer. Just install it and when you power on the printer it will recognize the extra memory. If you mean install, then go to www.HP.com and look at the instruction manual in the support section. I believe you have to extract the formatter board from the rear and then you should see the place where the chips should go.
