Proscan PS8682P dvd player. It has been over a

Proscan PS8682P dvd player. It has been over a year since we hooked it up and played it, but now we are either not connecting it correctly or it is malfunctioning. I only have one red and one white audio cables (connected between dvd player and cable box), but no yellow video cable. Any user manual that shows how to connect? But regardless, with any dvd we try, the player attempts to "read disc", and after about a minute of various clicking noises, it comes back with "bad disc".

So you have two problems: how to connect to (ex: tv),so for this. the cable box has a scart port? if so use a scart/rca adapter available on the market, use on VCR out (Cable Box) and select IN the adapter to IN/OUT switch. and connect to dvd player. The other Scart Port labeled TV connect to TV set with a scart cable. Now u can see tv, and switch automatic to dvd if DVD is on.

The Bad Disc error is a Laser DVD lens defective, needs to be replaced, send to repair.

Proscan tv surround sound hook up

This depends on whether you have digital cable box or not. If you have a Digi Cable Box look for the red/white RCA output and connect this via RCA cable to the Red/White Audio input on your surround.

If just Basic Cable look for a red/white audio output on the back of your televison. connect this to the Red/white in on your surround. Could be called tv in or auxillary.

Dvd "Highlander DVX4533 " no sound

sounds like it is set to 5.1 surround when you only have a stereo tv hooked up to it. In audio settings you will need to select 2 channel out.
