Our office is relocating and I need to prepare our Bunn coffee maker to be moved. It appears to be working fine now, but we do live in a hard-water area. So: - Obviously we will be unplugging it. Can it be...

I work for BUNN. Yes, you can empty it - here's a link to instructions http://www.bunn.com/retail/service/faq.html#faq6

Also, it's absolutely a perfect time to do the Periodic Cleaning of your brewer - here's a link to instructions for using vinegar to thoroughly clean your brewer. http://www.bunn.com/retail/service/cleaning.html

If you want to move the brewer without draining, please be sure to unplug it and let the water cool for about 6 hours before moving it (the water inside is 200 degrees). Then, when you get to the new location you can just plug it in and let it heat up.

Any other questions, please let me know. [email protected]

It takes almost 7 minutes before I can have a cup of coffee now.I have used plastic stick and also run fresh water afterwords.have got it to about 6 minutes

I work 4 BUNN. Have you tried cleaning the brewer with vinegar? Here's a link to the periodic cleaning instructions. http://www.bunn.com/retail/service/cleaning.html

If that doesn't work, please give out customer service team a call at 800-352-2866.

Does not heat &light went out

This problem usually happens when the thermostat goes bad- if it's within your three year warranty period, call Bunn at 1-800-263-2256 and ask for tech support. they will give you a RMA number and return instructions. If it's not in the warranty period, sadly, you need a new brewer, as the parts for these brewers are not available

My bunn is too slow

Use the de-liming spring to clean the copper tube behind the spray head. Pour several pots of clear white vinegar through the unit to further remove lime and scale from the interior of your coffee maker. My Bunn is 24 years old, and the only replacement parts I've ever required are new carafes and the 4041 silicone washer repair kit.
