Hi from Australia, we have a husqvarna 2000 with a broken cam. I can see the broken cam it is visible through the opening where you insert the plastic stitch cams. My question is : How do you remove the broken part? Do you remove the large screw in the centre of the cam or does the cam simply slide out once other items have been removed? Thanks Don
You can find a video on how to do this at Sewingnz Youtube channel playlist
There's a guide that holds the cam stack in place. There's a screw just to the left of the cam that needs to be loosened. This is spring loaded, but it should wedge against the stitch length arm and not come out completely. Once this is loose you should be able to pull the cam stack out. You just need to make sure this guide makes it into the groove of the new cam stack when you're inserting it.
