Cnm mini book from aria with windows CE brand new won't start up flashes locked buttons and resetting button doesn't cause it to unlock as said to in manual. (and yes i did hold down the re-set button for 15 secs)

if you can remove the battery start there. is not try to hold the power button for 1min. if that still doesn't work follow the bellow instructions

How to Hard Reset Argos CnM TouchPad Android tablet pc ?
Make sure the tablet is charged up to 60%
Turn off the tablet completely .
Press Volume + button , while holding Volume + button , plug in charger.
Release the volume + button.
Press Volume + again and press Power button to boot the CnM Tablet.
When Android logo appear , release the volume + button.
Press Power Button again and press volume + button , Recovery Menu will be appear .
Press the volume down and select "wipe data/factory reset"
Power button to select it
You will see "Yes - delete all user data"
Select "Yes"press "Power" button to select it
Formating will start. it will delete all user data .
Few seconds later, you should see the recovery menu again. Select reboot.
It will take approximately 2 to 3 minutes to take you back to its factory (out-of-the-box) state .
you are done.
This Hard Reset method will work with all models of CnM touchpad tablets.
I have Blomberg WM87120 NBL00 Product code 717518110 and had flashing Lock in display. Bought and installed new lock and no change. Display still flashing lock. Used following procedure and every is working now.
Press pause button and hold down while turning off machine.Continue to hold pause button and turn power back on. If numbers come up on display make note of them for future reference. Release pause button and all lights on display will light up. Turn power off again and then turn back on. If machine was in a cycle it should end it and then return to normal operation. .Dont know if new lock made a difference. Try the reset procedure first.
Turn off ignition. Press and hold the
trip reset button, then turn the ignition on (don't start the
engine), within 5 sec the SIA status will be displayed. Release the
reset button. Press and hold the trip reset button for 5 sec, "rst"
will be displayed. Release and re-press trip reset button.
This is a
common problem, often associated with a momentary power failure when the
controller doesn't get time to reset and return to an idle state before the

Your only true option is to do a master reset on the phone.
Since the device is locked, you will not have the opportunity to
back up any of your information (which is why it is advised to perform
regular backs ups).
To perform a Hard Reset on your device:
With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
Wait for the screen with the 3 Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
Press VOLUME DOWN to select CLEAR STORAGE, and then press POWER.
Press VOLUME UP to start the factory reset.
Have you tried the Reset button on the back? It's recessed in a small hole, you'll have to stick something like a ballpoint pen in there to depress the Reset button. Windows CE screen should come up, then the computer should run normally.
i have bought a cnm netbook and when trying to log onto internet it is asking for username nd password but i haven't created one so don't know what to put
1 On your computer, select Start > Programs > Philips Digital Audio Player > Aria Device Manager > Philips Device Manager to launch the Philips Device Manager. 2 Turn off GoGear Aria before you continue. 3 Press and hold the volume button while you connect GoGear Aria to your computer. 4 Keep holding the key until the Philips Device Manager acknowledges GoGear Aria and enters the recovery mode. 5 On the computer, click the Repair button and follow the instructions of the Philips Device Manager to complete the recovery process. 6 When the recovery is completed, disconnect GoGear Aria from your computer. 7 Restart GoGear Aria.

Try updating your Route66 with the latest edition of the PND software from the R66 support website -http://www.66.com/support/index.php?cid=UK&opt=updates - This will reset the sat nav to how it was when it left the factory but you will loose your favourites and history in the process.
