I have a Jensen (JE1909ACB) 19 LCD TV Can't get it to hook up as a monitor on my desktop. It reply's unsupported mode.

Are you using the VGA port on the Jensen TV? What is your computer's OS?

The usual reason for the unsupported mode message is that the the computer did not recognize the TV as a monitor on boot up or that the previous settings were incompatible with the TV. (For example, if you previously had a CRT connected to the computer and used a refresh rate of 75 Hz, the TV can't handle the refresh rate. It needs to be set at 60 Hz.)

First turn off both the TV and the computer. Then turn on the TV and set it for the PC input (assuming you are using the VGA port). Next turn on the computer. If you have Windows XP or later, it should find the TV and set the resolution without any input. (If it doesn't, use a different monitor and set the resolution to 1366 x 768 and 60 Hz. Then try again.) If you used the HDMI port, try the VGA port. This TV doesn't understand a computer signal over the HDMI port (only set top boxes).

I hope this helps.

I have a 22" Westinghouse

Change the settings on your HDMI output to 720 progressive for resolution. The tv likely cannot handle the 1080 resolution, or the tv can only use interlaced (1080i or 720i) format.

When i hook up my ps3 to an emerson 19 in tv with an hdmi cable it says format not supported

Hi,
LCD Emerson only support screen with a 1440 x 900 720p resolution.
And PS3 has support 1080p or full HD.
You must arrange output HDMI resolution to 1440 x 900 or to 720p.
thanks.

We hooked up our LCD HD 19" TV up to our HD

Try to disconnect all the connection cables and reconnect again. If still don't receive any sound, your HDMI cable is faulty.

Receive an invalid format message from my Olevia 32 tv

You get invalid format, or format not support becuase the video resolution setting on your PC is too high for the monitor to display, you need to lower your PC video resolution to the native resolution of the TV to get the best picture. Look at the owner manual for your TV or search the web.

I tried to hook up my ps3 to my hannspree monitor

did you hook the dvd player or xbox 360 to see it if still works after ps3? if still no result, it's most likely that the motherboard in the lcd shorted out.
