Hey there Subaquakid, the nature of surround systems is to identify separate extra channels of information and send them to the right address, being the selected speaker. In order for the rear speakers to work they need to be sent a signal. The media which you are using may not have the rear channel encoded. therefore the rear speakers have nothing to announce. Please ensure your source cd has the suround feature encoded. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Hi .. i have just bought a logitech x 530 speaker and only 2 of the speaker parts work .. can you please give me some solution advice?

Hi names Rui i like to help you by giving you step by step instruction in propely hocking up your logitech speakers:

Instructions

1. Connect the black plug of the rear right speaker into the black plug on the subwoofer.

2. Connect the yellow plug on the rear left speaker into the yellow input on the subwoofer.

3. Connect the red plug of the front center speaker into the red input on the subwoofer.

4. Connect the white plug of the front left speaker into the white input on the subwoofer.

5. Connect the d-sub connector plug from the front right speaker into the d-plug connector on the subwoofer.

6. Connect the green, black and orange input to the matching plugs on your computer. If you have a four-channel sound card, connect the green plug from the input audio cable to the front plug of the card and the black plug to the rear plug. Do not connect the orange input. If you are using a two-channel sound card, connect the green plug from the input audio cable to the "Line Out" jack on the sound card. Do not connect the green and orange plug.

7. Plug the subwoofer power chord into the electrical power outlet.

8. Place your subwoofer on ground around your computer desk. Position the front center speaker on top of your computer monitor.

9. Place the left and right front speakers on the sides of the monitor. Position the left and right rear speakers behind you, making sure they are pointing toward the front left and right speakers.

10. needs to support 5.1 surround. Normally, more than three sockets for sound indicates that it does. Then you need to use the software that comes with the sound hardware to configure it for 5.1 - Default will be 2.1 or just 2.
Check the control panel out. This is a lot easier under Windows 7.- Here you can access what you need via the speaker icon on the system tray (right click)
There is NO problem with your OS or hardware, this is pretty standard...

hope this will help you solve your problem.

Hi ,, i have just fitted a intel d845gvsrb in my pc but i am not sure where the tower speaker wire , reset sw , power sw , power led , h h d led and the black single one go`s can you please help me ..

The Picture below shows you the locations of the places to put those wires are in relation to your motherboard. In yellow is the power switch and such. and the audio connection is in red.

The Pin layout for the power and other connector are as follows:
avatar23454_10.jpg

the layout for the audio header is as follows: avatar23454_8.jpg

To install the cable that connects a front panel audio solution to the front panel audio header, follow these steps:
  1. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the computer. Turn off the computer and disconnect the AC power cord.
  2. Locate the front panel audio header (J8A1).
  3. Remove the three jumpers from the header (this disables the back panel audio connectors).
  4. Install a correctly keyed and shielded front panel audio cable.
  5. Connect the audio cable to the front panel audio solution.

To restore back panel operations follow these steps:
1. Remove the front panel audio cable. 2. Install a jumper on pins 5-6 (rear R channel). 3. Install a jumper on pins 9-10 (rear L channel). 4. Install a jumper on pins 1-2 (mic). 5. Replace the cover.

I want to connect 2 speakers(left and right) to lcd.how can i?

Hi,
Please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Connect the two RCA plugs on the Y adapter to the right and left Audio Out jacks on the back of the LCD TV.
Step 2: Insert the mini-plug on the cable attached to the right-channel PC speaker into the mini-plug jack on the Y adapter.
Step 3:Connect the mini-plug on the audio cable attached to the left-channel PC speaker to the mini-plug jack on the back of the right-channel speaker. This completes the PC speaker connections to each other and to the television. The TV sends an audio signal to the right PC speaker, which separates the signal and sends the left-channel stereo information to the other PC speaker.
Step 4:Connect the AC power plug to the back of the right-channel speaker and plug the other end into an electrical outlet.
Step 5:Switch on the speakers and the television to enjoy audio from both the TV's built-in speakers and the external pair of PC speakers.

Speakers not working.................

Check the following,
  • Speakers, connecting cables and Sound Card are working fine by connecting to another computer.
  • Speaker Cable is connected to an audio port (Audio/Video port in system box).
  • Volume is MUTE / Low (in Volume Controller).
  • Audio drivers have installed.
To Check follow the Steps:
• Go to Start>
• Control panel>
• Double click on "System" Icon> (it shows the System Properties Window)
• Select “Hardware” Tab>
• Select “Device Manager” Tab> (it shows the Device Manager Window)
• Select “Sound, video and game controllers”>
• Expand “+” symbol> (check the audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers and others are not in Questioned Mark (?) symbol with yellow color. If there need to install the drivers ).
  • If not, insert the motherboad CD, browse>select audio driver>install. After completion, restart computer and check.
