PROB LEM WITH POLAROID TLA-01911C

This is a common symptom of a power supply failure on the TLA-01911c. The board has parts called capacitors that filter the output power and when they go bad the power supply does not power up right. The unit can either have no power, just a flashing power light, just a white screen or it could take a long time to show a picture. The main board has the fault. Your set need a thorough check before confirmiing the fiault.

A white or gray screen usually means the power supply board is not functioning correctly. Below is a repair guide showing what to look for on your power supply board. Open the back of your TV and look at the power supply board as shown in the repair guide. If the capacitors are bulging on the top then they have failed and replacing them should get the board and TV back up and running. This is a very easy repair if you can do a little soldering.

Can you see a very faint image? the backlight may be dead. otherwise it could be a number of things.

Check the powersupply/inverter board for bad capacitors. Also check the CCFL bulbs in the top and bottom for poor solder connection - replace if necessary.
