3H error means overheating...what you can do is supply new fans or clean the unit for dust and others. check for the exhaust fans if its still working. this will reslove your problem.

We have a sharp AL 1610 that shows CH f 5 on the display and has the light that looks like a belt drive showing. What does that mean?

It appears you have two faults showing up. A 'CH' fault means there is a door or hatch that's open or ajar. Check to make sure the unit is buttoned up correctly.

An F5 code means your copy lamp isn't turning on and off correctly. I recommend that you have a trained service tech diagnose the problems with this machine.

Sharp - How to reset code
To enter service mode press thesekeys: orange C button,Interrupt, 0, Interrupt. The screen goes black when you have done itcorrectly. It may take a few tries – must be done in certain time.
To clear the maintenance indication (service man): press 20, start,1, start (the display will start to flash when entered correctly).Power off/on to make the copier dude go away. Good Luck!

STAUS INDICATOR SHOWS "L-6" ON SHARP AL-1010

Dear sir; The L-6 error code it means "laser drive, motor", It can be reset, the procedure as follow;
1, press "clear", "exposure mode", "clear", "exposure" those keys.then machine go dead.
2, enter 14, then press print.follow the direction willtake car the problem.

HELP, H4 ERROR

The fuser isn't heating up on time. You could try turning the copier off for 30 seconds and turing it back on again to see if it goes away.

If it doesn't happen, there is a part that has to be fixed on the fuser to correct the problem. Usually it is the thermistor.

H4 error code

H4 is a Fuser Unit heating problem.
This reset is for another model sharp, see if it will work for you.

Press "Clear", "Auto Exposuer", "Clear", "Auto Exposure", the display will go dead... then press "14" (Like your going to make 14 copies), then press "Start".

Sharp copier AL-1642CS

Here is what worked for me.
You need to alternate pressing the clear button then one of the auto buttons until the display lights turn off.

First press the clear button (red letter “C” on the unit) then the auto button. (below the word auto there are 3 buttons. Press the one on the far left that has no other markings on it. This will only take 2 or 3 times back and forth.

When the display is blank enter the number 14 (like you were making 14 copies of something) then press the Green (start?) button. Let the copier warm up about 30 seconds and try making a copy.

It worked for me. Still having trouble call Sharp USA 630-378-3590 or Canada 905-568-7140. They were quick and helpful
