I have had this washer for over a year. Use it every day and have never had any problems... until today. Noticed that it had stopped in the middle of a load and was flashing a F 25. I set the machine to drain/spin and when it was done everything seemed fine. When I went to do my next load I noticed that the fabric softener was still in the dispenser... I started wondering if maybe there was a clog in the dispensing system, as I know liquid softener can get quite gummy. I removed the dispenser drawer and rinsed it all under hot water to remove all the gunk and machine has been working fine ever since.

This is scary. I got a brand new whirlpool duet sport I ordered from Costco.com. After 19 days of waiting for delivery it finally arrived and was installed by the whirlpool dlvy people. I read the instructions and started my 1st load within an hour of being installed. It never worked. Ok it work 6 mins and stopped on every cycle I put it on and then I got the error code 25. I called their customer svc number and they could not even tell me via the phone what that meant. I am suppose to have another delivered here HOPEFULLY next week but after seeing others having repeated problems I do not know if I should just say no take it all back.

F25 is a MOTOR CONTROL error . check for past posts in Search as there were some in 2007 shown on Fixya . or check throgh Google / Internet explorer by stating F25 Washing Machine error
Google search brought up:-
F25
DRIVE MOTOR TACHOMETER ERROR
If the control is unable to properly detect motor speed, the machine shuts down.
If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door unlocks after 3 Minutes.
A serious and difficult fault to repair. Call a technician.
The "F25" error code means the control board senses the inlet thermistor shorted. The inlet thermistor is a part of the hi-limit thermostat which is located on the heating element box.
Remove your service panel and look for your tech sheet inside a jacket in the inside of the service panel. An F-25 is usually a broken wire between the main control and the motor control.
My machine had the exactly same problem:
1. Push Start button to wash, but Draining/Unlocking light will flash right away. The drum started to run and stopped
2. No error code shown up
3. Run Quick test: no error code
4. Run Universal Test: error code F25 (later, found nothing wrong with the CCU)
What I did:
1. Clean the bump: found coins and strings.
2. Clean the drain pipe from the pump to tub: found more coins.
3. Clean chamber of pressure switch at the tub: found nothing.
4. Clean the gap between tub and drum: found a credit card!
After the cleanings, the Draining/Unlocking light would still come back and I almost gave up. Amazingly, I ignored it and a few minutes later.... the machine started to run as normal!
It seems that CCU needs sometime to reset itself after the failure.
The F25 error code is indicating that the control is unable to detect the motor speed. Causes of the code could be the motor, loose wire connection, failed motor control board or a failed machine control board.
If you remove three screws along the bottom front the bottom panel comes off. On the inside, on the right wall, is a plastic bag with a paper labeled "FOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN ONLY". This has a section titled "FAILURE/ERROR DISPLAY CODES" with all the error codes along with an explanation and recommended procedure. For F25, this is:
DRIVE MOTOR TACHOMETER ERROR
If the control is unable to properly detect motor speed, the machine shuts down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door unlocks after 3 Minutes.
Possible Causes/Procedure
1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and the power cord are removed. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Check drive motor tachometer resistance. It should be approx. 115 ohms. 4. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU). 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. 7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations.
I got this working for many on this site :)

F25 is a keys stuck error code which must be covered under warranty..The only option is to replace the keypad..I suggest that you pester those customer support fellows so that you can get it fixed as it is a pretty complicated process to do it yourself..
