Hooking up Xbox 360 to JVC TV 20 inch 1 year old tv from Luxembourg

We have a Luxembourg-purchased JVC TV 20 inch that we purchased last year. We are trying to hook up xbox 360 and do not have the instruction manual (or can't find it) for the TV. We plugged in the yellow, white and red cables into the back of the TV on the side, plugged in the TV and plugged in Xbox and hooked up the internet. We are getting sound only but can't get the picture. Any suggestions?

We're having the exact same problem!! We tried every input on the system (Video 1, Video 2, DVD/LD, Through the VCR, directly into the TV). We can hear the sound but get no picture. This is an older TV, but it has the standard coaxial imputs (red, white yellow). What's Wrong!!!???

Change the plug on the back of your xbox 360 from hd to tv unless of course your tv is hd then change it to hd :]

I've had the same problem. If you got your Xbox 360 with an HDTV cable with red, yellow and white inputs as well, don't plug those in. Where yellow should be plug in the green cable for HD hookup. Plug the white and red cables where they should be. This should give you a black and white picture. I know it's a little disapointing, but that's as far as I got.

What's your problem?Im trying to hook up my xbox 360 to my JVC 27 inch TV, I installed the yellow to video input and the red and white to audio input and all get is the audio and no video. What am I...

Troubleshoot.

1. Ensure yellow is actually connected to an "input" slot.

2. Ensure TV is set to the correct input source.

3. Ensure your yellow, white and red RCA connectors are grouped in a single input source to TV. Sometimes the "component" and "composite" inputs are grouped closely together.

4. Consult the TV manual for hookup instructions.

5. Conduct a continuity test on the yellow xbox wire with a multi-meter.

My Xbox elite is just over a year old. I have no red rings. Problem is that all games played on the box are now in black & white. There is no colour on my tv screen. There is nothing wrong with the...

Check and recheck and triple check the av/hd cables. If you want to help isolate, try hooking up your xbox 360 to another tv and doesn't matter if it is hdtv or standard to test out. That method will give your answer quick to help isolate the problem. If you have hdtv make sure your adapter has the switch set for hdtv and not standard and then go in the xbox 360 dashboard system settings and see if it shows up for display. Good luck!!!

TELEVISION - PS3 AND XBOX HDMI COMPATIBILITY

You have to use the scart connector for on screen menu settings. Go to the video option and enable HDMI and/or match resolution output to your set.
You did not mention the model of the TV so here is another scenario,
Just because the TV is 1 year old doesn't mean that it is a 1080p capable, you could have set the HDMI resolution settings to 1080p and you will not get any picture if your set cannot process the information.

Can't connect XBOX 360 please help!

How many video ports does it have? You may have to search through video 1, 2, 3, or switch the TV itself to component/HDMI depending, with the remote. Should be with an 'input' button.

My tv has a list with HDMI, SVIDEO, COMPONENT, PC, ect. and its a 1080p one, im just assuming all HDTV's have a list
