The coffee grounds in the grounds tray are wet, not fully extracted. This is a recent change. Originally the grounds were round dryish compressed disks.

Hi
Check you dosage knob. It has probably been turned down towards the minus ( - ). Turn it up towards the plus( + ) but not all the way. See if that doesn't help.

Cannot insert the tray all the way

Remove tray and replace leaving out the used grounds box. Restarting the machine resets the brew unit and the tray with coffee grounds box can now enter fully

Will not dispense the water into the cup when the button is pushed

I have had this issue. First, check to make sure water tank is filled and correctly in place? Try descaling it; a kit came with coffee maker. (It just removes hard water build up, it may be blocking your water flow.) If that is not the issue, pull the tray where the used pods are dropped -Is it wet? Like the coffee is pouring into this tray rather than in your cup? If so, I have removed round silver plastic piece from around coffee spout,(gentle -do not crack it) then removed and washed the black spout, I even used a toothpick once, to remove the stubborn coffee ground, Once it was cleaned - it worked perfect. If you run water from the faucet into spout it should flow smoothly. I warn you though, not sure what this does to any warranty, but don't mess with my morning coffee! If the POD tray is not wet, I would tell you not that most likely your machine is not clogged by grounds, so you may not want to take snout apart. I hope this helps.

Saeco taleo grounds are very wet - almost fluid! this hase started recently when i changed my beans. i have changed the grind to course but with no effect. any ideas?

Try adjusting the amount of coffee and then the grind to finer. If there is not enough coffee in the chamber then it gets over extracted and you get a soupy puck at discharge, if the grind is too coarse, you might also get the same result. Think of your coffee grind as rocks and sand and that will give you a better feel for the proper setting for your machine.

I have a new Z5 (less than 300 cups) that began dispensing a slow and reduced volume of coffee and also began leaking approx 3 oz of water into the tray after just 2-3 cups of coffee. I have meticulously...

If the grounds are really wet and not looks like a round firm cake, you need to use coarser grist on the grinder. The water in the drip tray is coming from the brew unit. The o-rings are not holding the pressure inside because the sieve is clogged. It could also be that the o-ring are dirty, then the brew unit needs to be disassembled and cleaned.

A good way to controll if the grist is too fine, is to watch if the coffee is just dripping from the outlet. Then try adjusting the grinder until the coffee flows evenly. You can also hear if the pump works harder during brewing.
