Open Device Manager, Uninstall the Graphic Card and driver, reboot the machine, allow Windows 7 to apply the generic driver, Open Windows Updates and run. OR, open Device Manager, display adapter, update Graphics adapter. OR, Use the eMachine windows vista 64 bit drivers. Download the Windows Vista 64bit driver and Save , open Properties, change compatibility to Windows 7. Take a look at this : http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-compatibility-mode/
Hi, i don't quite understand when you mention size, but the actual size for Minolta Dimage S404 is USB 1.1, it is capable of supporting a transfer rate of up to 480 Mbps and is backwards compatible. if you want to buy a USB cable online then you can try this specification.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Canon supports this scanner under Vista. Check if the Windows generic TWAIN scanner driver will work. The Canon software won't work. If the generic driver can be installed, then you should be able to acquire scans in Paint (File > Import from Scanner or Camera), Windows Fax and Scan (New Scan) (some versions of Vista) or Windows Photo Gallery (IIRC it works like Paint).
I hope this helps.
Cindy Wells (Canon wants you to upgrade. I have a different scanner that isn't officially supported past XP and the generic driver works fine. Unfortunately, you can't just use the XP driver in the compatibility mode due to the lack of signed drivers that are required in the 64-bit OS)
Its possible that your f4288 software CD only has drivers for Windows XP or older operating systems. Unfortunately they are not compatible with Windows 7. Try going to the HP website and look at the support area for the F4288, see if they have updated Windows 7 drivers or look for Vista drivers if Windows 7 are not available (as Vista drivers are supposed to be compatible with Windows 7). If Windows 7 (or Vista) drivers are not available on the HP website you are out of luck for now until HP releases new drivers.
Sadly it looks like Trust camera does not work with Vista, however there no harm pluging the camera and letting Vista look for a driver by telling it to use the net,
