The troubleshooting guide for this problem says it means the machine can't fill., and to check water supply is turned on and hoses not kinked. Of course the water is on and the machine is indeed filling. If I press the start button the light goes out and the machine continues to overflow.
I have discovered that the problem lies around the water level switch. I can remove the plastic pipe, blow into the switch and hear the contacts operate and this stops the filling. The pipe is not blocked either I can blow through fairly easily. Tempted to purchase a new switch but don't want to waste my money. Any suggestions.?
Well if your sure the other end is connected to the tub and is tight then id replace the switch its out of calibration it works off positive pressure from the water in the tub if you can blow in it and it actuates doesn't mean its working off the right pressure from the tub

Thanks, I'm going to try a new switch
I decided to have one more look at the tub end. I removed the whole tub - don't know what the correct term is, contains a cone shaped insert with a ping pong ball shaped float - but anyway inside I found a fair collection of rubbish. There was coins buttons and allsorts of debris. Cleaned everthing and rebuilt, The machine is now fully working. Thanks for your support and amazing response.
