How do I update the maps and routes in my 4 year old Navman Problem with the Navman N40i GPS

Navman won't make any more maps for this device. You can call them on 0871 277 0140, I believe they have an trade in offer towards a new Mio device

Turn to the dealer if you cannot find it in the web.

hook it up to your pc and run a scan . or see if you can defrag the unit.

The Navman website will allow you to update maps for about $150.00, You still have to delete the old map and re-install the new one. Some companies do the map purchasing and installation for you, for about $25.00 extra on top of the map fee. Ask Harvey Norman they might do it.

my wife has got the maps on to computer but cant get them loaded onto the navman n40i what is she doing wrong to load to satnav.thanks dave

Solution to get GPS Navman N40I working with Windows Vista.

I solver the problem (most of it) by uninstalling the old activsynk witch was delivered with the manufactory CD. Then I downloaded from “http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-center.mspx” Windows Mobile Device Center. After installing this software I connected my Navman N40I to my PC and waited to for the Mobile Device Center application to load. When it tried to gain partnership with my GPS I removed it. Voila, and the SmartST Desktop 2006 SE application was able to communicate with my GPS.
