The Timex Ironman 30 Lap also has a stopwatch that can be used to keep track of split times for racing
sports
like running or cycling. Press the "Mode" button until the display
shows "Chrono," then press and hold the "Set/Recall" button. To start
the timer, press the "Start/Split" button. It will continue to run even
if you exit to another mode. Pressing the "Stop/Reset" button will stop
the chronograph. To record a split time, press the "Start/Split" button
again while the timer is running. To see your split times, press the
"Set/Recall" button while the watch is in Chrono mode. You can then
scroll through the various splits with the plus and minus keys. Press
"Set/Recall" again to exit display mode and return to the timer.
I have the old Timex Triathlon 8-lap Indiglo watch with the two start and stop buttons on the face. My chronograph started to act wonky and further usage of it caused the clock to reset to 12:00:00 1/1 and freeze. I held down all five buttons on the watch for about 10-15 seconds. The display quickly flashed and the clock started! This advice works!
You're right. This worked. Nice!
Alright, I had the same problem and held all five buttons in. Now my watch is blank. There is no display. What now?
It works!!! One thousand times THANK YOU!!! Why on Earth Timex does not post this solution on its website if it is a common problem?
Thanks--the all 5 buttons worked for me too (though it took me a minute to figure out how to do that!). :)
