Convergence fuse Toshiba rear projection tv

Too many possibilities to predict if the fuse replacements will make the set function again but I suspect your main power supply has failed so if the fuses blow after replacement, you may have to have the supply repaired or replace it.
You might check, using your model number, at the site below to see if they have a power supply 'pull' available from their stock. They part out retired sets of all kinds.

Call Toshiba...Tech support...ask them what the # of blinks mean?

the board mounted overtop the of the chasis is the convergence power supply board
replace that board will bring your tv back to life
then go into menu readjust convergence red and blue DO NOT MOVE GREEN

Resolder jumpers on signal PCB..May be near convergence IC circuit..on 50" model they are 050 & 010. You may have solder cracks..I repaired a 50" toshiba..Let me know if this fixes

Check fuses on Power Supply board (F850, F851, F852) and all other fuses. Replace blown fuses (will need an ohm meter to check fuses). I would also replace the two convergence amps (STK392-110's on the signal board, the big black ICs on the two heat sinks). This worked for me.

Check power supply for open micro fuse{s}-- If the fuses for the convergence circuits B+ are open,replace convergence IC,s and fuse devices.Then perform re-alignment in servicer mode.test run.Don't forget--PVAT! solder any/all bad connections.

Pushing it back in place went it went out tells me that the problem is probably a poor solder connection. That arcing probably took out one of the fuses, but a fuse is NEVER the cause merely a symptom. I would begin by examining the black wire that feeds the +16v to the convergence IC's on the main board. The convergence circuit is the most thermal circuit in that unit. Next check for any jumpers and other component joints that appear to be ring cracked. Even the convergence amps themselves. Then check for open fuses after you've made a good inspection. Check for fuses: F850 & F851 5amp, F470 2amp, and F890 3.15amp and one of these are likely open. But if you replace them without correcting the problem that cause them to open it will simply happen again.. Good Luck Bill

you need to solder all the connectors and plugs between the 2 boards

check all the fuses. Its easy to mis the 2amp pico fuse mounted near the middle of the power board. When this fuse opens, the red at the top, especially at the left side of the screen, will not adjust enough. Be sure to use new heatsink compound behind the ic's Shutdowns,are usually,not an easy repair Good luck
