If the screen was white at all then this is a video board issue, now that its black, it means either something else went out,or the video board quit working
pradzevalqim, Monitor may have problem with internal switch-mode-power-supply / ccfl inverter lamp supply" causing fluorescent lamps to not light-up and provide "white light" so you can see what is on the glass lcd panel. Please try to connect the monitor to another PC, if it continues to happen, then probably an internal electronic part/s of your monitor is cold soldered / defective which failed to send signal to other hardware parts of your monitor thus you only see white display. I suggest to bring the unit to an authorized service center fix / replace the cold soldered / defective part/s. regards
First, to verify if it is your display adapter, connect an external monitor to your laptop and see if it displays fine. If it is fine on the monitor, then we know that it is from your laptop screen(in this case, it is either you first check from a technician if it is the colour that has to be refilled or if you need to purchase a new screen). If not then it is from your display adapter(could be from corrupt display drivers). In this case, you would have to re-install new drivers for your display adapter(you can download it from your system manufacturer's website if you don't already have it). Thanks
If you got a white screen, then you need to replaced a new AD board. AD board is a piece of component that you plugged your VGA or DVI cables to the monitor. Good lucks, Have a nice weekend!
I had the same problem. Your monitor is warning you of failure. The hissing sound is the picture tube powering up. The momentary blank screen is when the power supply for the monitor has become hot. Your monitor is getting ready to quit. My suggestion is to buy a new monitor. To have a tech repair it would be more expensive then buying a new one.
