Importing Video to PC with Panasonic SDR-H80

Just got my Panasonic SDR-H80 Camcorder :) I was very pleased until attempted to import my pictures and videos onto my PC with the VideoCam Suite 2.0. I downloaded it with the **** and that worked fine, but when i plug in the USB cable i have to remove the battery of the device. Therefore when it is connected to the computer it is not recognized due to no power supply. Am i missing something here? PLEASE help. thank you.

There should be an extra cable that plugs into the battery charger and then into the camcorder to supply power to the camcorder.

That's a no brainer. the real question is where do you find this cable to conect the power supply to the camera?

TO Bryan Clanton, the cable should have came with the camcorder, plug DC Cable Cord to battery charger and plug other side of DC Cable Cord to the camcorder.

Instructions for this should be in the camcorder manual.

I am trying to get the software so I may download my moving and still pictures from my Panasonic SDR-H80.

Here is the link for the website to download the software that was originally packaged with your camera. This would be the best option for uploading to the computer. From there you can use all sorts of software to manipulate or edit.

Failure to download clips to the PC from my camcorder SDR-H80

HI Yahiya. Most likely you previously installed videocam suite software using the NTSC format. Try reinstalling it using PAL format. This is the same problem i encountered on a Panasonic SDR-H90. I hope this will solve your problem.
