SOny DVD Player DVP-NS50P Locked

Hold down the play button, it will take a bit but it turns of the child lock

If the Sony DVP-NS77H DVD player displays "TRAY LOCKED" and you can't eject a disc or open the tray, try the following - First turn the unit off. Then, while holding down the eject, play and stop buttons simultaneously (on the front of the DVD player), turn the unit on with the '/O button (also on the front of the player). This released the locked tray for me.

With the DVD player turned off(stand by), press:
TOP MENU
CLEAR
POWER

Choose option 2 and after option 4. Type:
12450 [press enter]
00000

The tray will open and close repetedly. Unplug the power cable and afterwards turn it on again.
Done! Your DVD is now multi-zone.

There is a lock on this on the remote or end the menu system I do not remeber witch. You can unlock this software if not you need to unlock it hardware witch gets a little tedious.

if you are technician then try to chang the fuse fuse is bult in side the dvd player in power supply but as per standared if the fuse is burnt then please check this in nearst sony service centre may be more parts are damage

If you are playing different region dvds, they can be of different color formats also
(US = NTSC, Europe = PAL). If your television is not multi-format then non-compatible
DVDs will play black and white. The solution is to purchase a mutli-format TV (accepts
both PAL and NTSC formats)

It works for NS50P, NS575 and the most models of the families NS50 e NS500.

probably you locked it mistakenly, what you should do leave the player in standby, press RETURN, ENTER and then POWER buttom again. watch a nice movies.

U must be using an old tv with only PAL color system. DVDs are in different color coding. Try using a PAL converter it will solve ur problem
