Volume and menu does not display

I am having a strange problem with my TV. When I turn the volume up or down, the display that shows the volume increasing or decreasing does not display. The volume is increasing and decreasing, the display is just not showing. Also, when I choose Menu the menu screen does not show up either. Finally, when I choose Input, my input screen does not show up even though the input is changing when I hit the button.

I have the same problem. Neither the input menu or volume panel show up. Instead I have thin lines where those should be. Can anyone help?

I had this problem on my Aquos (LC-46D62U). It was NOT a hardware problem. I recommend turning off the television. Next unplug the television for 5 to 10 seconds. This resets something for the television. Plug it back in and turn on the television. You should now be able to get your volume and other on-screen displays.

SOURCE: no antenna tv signal

Your dish remote should be set to the code for your TV. Then you will be able to control the channel number, not just up/down, as well as volume and maybe even the input. But do try to get a real remote for your TV so you can get to its menus.
Meanwhile, use menu+menu to see the channel being output by the Dish receiver. (Must be a 622/722... based on the 60 you listed.) Try to find an unused UHF channel number that your set does have in its up/down list. Match Air/Cable setting of Dish and TV. The Dish output is analog (NTSC) although the tuner(s) only accept digital (ATSC).

My TV seem to be on wide screen and it shows half the picture, how do I set it up on full screen? No other material is connected to the TV

Hello
If your TV displays a black box type shade on the screen means that your TV may be set to "Text" mode. To clear the screen, select "Caption Off mode".
To do this, press "MENU" button to display menu functions on the screen. Press "channel up or channel down" button to select the function "CAPTION". Press "Volume Up or Volume Down " button to select the mode you wish. There are five modes that you can select; Caption-Off; Caption-C1; Caption-C2; Caption-T1 and Caption-T2. As no other matereial is connected to your TV, you just select "CAPTION-OFF". When done press the Menu button again to exit menu display. Ok.

    Hello Blindrid,
What I would suggest you do is Press your MENU button on the tv remote, Then down to SOUND and then Turn the AUTO VOLUME to OFF. Then come out of the menu screen.
Just to check that it has all work correctly. turn you volume upto a certain number for example 25
Then turn your TV off the turn it back on. Wait until it is displaying a picture then press the volume button Once either up or down and you should see that it will go to 24 or 26 depending on what button you pressed for the volume. This will keep your volume set to whatever you had it on before you turned the tv off.

Hope this Helps Please leave a thumbs up.

    Cheers
