I understand that you're not getting sound on the recorded videos when playing it in the Camera itself. Unfortunately, due to the bad design, the Camera does not have a built in speaker to generate sound when playing videos. It is required to connect the Camera to a TV or transfer the recorded videos to a Computer to hear the audio on the videos. This is common for Sony DSC S Series Cameras.

DSC-S930 does not have inbuilt speaker to give you sound in playback mode. You need to transfer movie clip in computer to get sound in plaback with media player etc. Let me know if I missed any thing? Thanks.
DSC-S930 does record sound and you can hear video clip sound by playback of Media Player in Computer. This camera does not have inbuilt speaker for playback sound but it have inbuilt mic to record sound, transfer recorded movie clip in computer and play it with media player to get sound and picture. Yes, it does record video with sound but this camera has no inbuilt speaker for playback that sound so transfer video clip in computer and playback it with Windows Media Player to get sound and picture.
DSC-S500 can record short movie clip with sound and you can playback it on camera and can transfer that movie clip to PC Check below jog-dial mark to set camera to record movie clip.

Sony DSC-S700 can record voice in video clips but you can listen sound of clip by exporting it to computer and playback there. Camera has no built-in speaker to playback sound.
