System board Hello and thank you for your input. I own a Toshiba Satellite P25-S256 series lap top. My OS stars really slow, it takes about 20 for the comp to boot and load all appications. I took it for an evaluations and I was told it was the systems board or to my knowledge the same as the mother board. I was also told that they had to change the entire board. This will coast me $700 according to them. I was wondering how much is a systems board? how hard is it to install it? novice here !!! would i be better of letting them do it?

You know I was thinking the same when he said it was going to be $700 for a new mother board and service. Considering that when i run it on safe mode if loads with no problem am a bit weird about the whole thing. I do not have the comp with me but they were about 8 icons and yes i have defragged my drive. I also back up all info and set it to factory settings ans still got some problem.
