My Beeman 1040 fails to shoot now. The spring acts like the barrel is plugged and "bounces". It takes about 3 times cocking the rifle to finally drive the pellet out at about 150 fps. Suggestions?

Do you mean that you have never been able to cock the rifle ever

Like get the piston to lock up to the sear if so

Return to where you purchased it and get them to sort it

I have a 'used' Beeman Sportsman 1000 Series rifle (no scope). Have a pellet in the rifle (it's been in there for about a year, heh), I'm moving the lever-near-trigger back and forth but rifle won't shoot...

If your pumping the rifle and you hear air seeping out then the seal on your air chamber is bad or got pushed from where it is suppose to be, you can take it apart and see, its real simple...

My beeman hw 30 air rifle is cocked but will not shoot..yes the safety is off...it seems that the safety or trigger mech is out of adjustment inside. Is there a safe way to fix it?

There is probably a safety on the bolt as well, make sure the bolt is all the way in the closed position.

You have a triger fault its not locking the piston back best and safest bet is a gun smith,, never play with a triger if your not good with guns,

Yeah i hate that sh.t too. I keep getting just about the same respons from wherever. I've been looking for the schematics for my silver kodiak. Beeman offered to fix it for 35 shipping included but i dint want to send it off. Which one u got?
