Lenovo 3000 N200 Power Problem

I have a Lenovo 3000 N200 and all of a sudden the battery is not working. It 'seems' to be holding a charge in that the computer says that the battery is fully charged and 'on-line,' but as soon as I pull the power cord out it turns off, and wont turn back on until I plug the cord back in. It si no longer under warranty but Ive only had it for a little over a year, so before replacing the battery I want to make sure that that is the problem and its not some loose connection or something within the computer. Thanks!

Lenovo 3000 N200 0769wont charge, i brought a new battery and charger which both work the problem is the power doesnt seem to be going through to the battery to recharge it what could be causing this

Was the adapter you bought directly from Lenovo? I just know that dell builds in a chip to detect the adapter, if not original it will not charge the battery. I do not know if it's the same issue.

Hi. Trying doing power drain. All you need to do is remove the charger then the battery after that press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. After that put back the battery and the charger and check if it works. If the problem persist you can call the toll free number of lenovo. Check this website for the toll free number of lenovo for your country link

Lenovo 3000 N200 laptop not starting up, power light on

Keep pressed the power button of your laptop for about 30 seconds, the machine will power down.
--The above step may not be required as already so many days passed by.
Then plug it into the power adapter.
Switch the laptop on.
Boot in "safe mode" (F8 during boot).
This will fix any driver or some operating system issue during previous failed boot process.
Once it boots completely, do a normal shutdown and reboot your laptop in standard mode (no more F8 this time).
Now your laptop will be ready to use.

Lenovo 3000 N200 battery not charging.

I just had the same problem. My battery had discharged to less than zero and would not start even though the power plug was in. I tried everything... but what fixed it for me was to remove the power plug, remove the battery, plug in the power cord and start the machine. Once the machine was already booted, I put the battery in and it started charging. Dont know if that will fix your problem, but it fixed mine.

Lenovo 3000 n200 laptop

the battery is on the main motherboard. to get to it:
1) remove all power supplies
2) remove the keyboard
3) remove the screws on the bottom, leaving the covers and the one that's holding the optical drive (there's an on/off button engravement nex to it)
4) flip it over and remove the cover around the keyboard, be careful with the connection cables, I think some need to be disconected
* you might need to remove the screen unit, too, but i don't think it's nececerry. also, the lenovo manual on the website might be helpful.
