NOTE: The door removal pins you inserted must still

be in both sides of the door.

1.
Grasp the door on the sides with your fingers on

the front of the door and your thumbs on the

inside surface.

2.
Rest the hinge hanger so that it is flat (at the

bottom of the hinge hanger on the bottom of the

front frame slot).

3.
Position the door with the hinge hanger slots

almost parallel to the front frame.

4.
Push up and in until the hinge hanger slots

become fastened to the range. Lower the door

and rotate it slightly from the front to the back

until the slots are fully fastened. The hinge

hanger will be close to the bottom of the front

frame slot.

5.
Pull door open about halfway and remove the

door removal pins. Save door removal pins for

future use.

6.
Close the door.

Whirlpool 8053294 door locked

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

This is a common problem. In the upper back of your range you have a small motor which can fail and not rotate to unlock the door.

You need to pull your unit out to get behind it. Unplug your unit. Remove the top back cover and disconnect the motor. The rotate the oven door latch shaft to open the door.

Go into the following website. Input your model number (on the left) and you will get diagrams and part numbers for the repair.

How can i clean the glass between my oven door,i noticed streaks and it makes the oven look dirty

Whirlpool door are a bit difficult to remove from the stove. the owners manual may tell you what you need to do to remove it. Once you have it off then the door can be taken apart by removing tye screws that hold it together. This should be done on a flat surface and taking a lot of care. Remember how it comes apart and reverse the procedure when putting it back together. If you break a glass they are expensive to replace if available.

Cleaning glass in oven door

Extend your door hinges and remove entirely over to a table or other flat surface where you can do a step-by-step dis-assembly. Begin by removing the bolts at the bottom of the door, then the main panel and side flanges can be removed. The glass slides out from the tabs and you can give it a good cleaning at this point. Reverse your order to re-assemble, and put your door back on the oven. It's not as bad an exercise as it would appear. Just take your time and watch what you're doing. I used the hinges as a shim, and had it laid out on a pool table for easy, elevated examination.

Whirlpool oven gas range is beeping and is displaying F5E1.

This is a problem with the door latch switch. You will need to remove, check for continuity with latch open no continuity closed should have continuity. If the switch has continuity with latch open replace. I have replaced quite a few of these over the years, they usually seem to go during a cleaning or right after the oven was cleaned. Enter your model # at www.appliancehelponline.com for an illustration. The switch is inexpensive and easy to replace.

Oven door won't go back in place

open each hinge about 1/3 of the way open or until it reaches the point that it will stay open, align the door slots with the hinges and lower the door down onto the hinges. Door should operate properly now.

Oven locked up

What breaker did you shut off? House breaker? Or the ovens internal breaker? My drop in has a set of push button breakers under the oven behind a fold down door. The fold down door is in place of a regular ovens pull out drawer. Check in there if you have one. The light are more than likely a warning somethings wrong. If this was just installed check to make sure it was grounded properly. Also check to make sure the AMP rating of the stove and the one in the house breaker box match up. The house one can be higher but not the other way around. Hope that helps.
