How to unlock the doors on a 2005 pontiac montana

The dead battery is most likely why the vehicle isn't unlocking. No power to the motors that work the door release. Does the key turn at all in the key slot? Most people only use the remote for locking so the mechanical part of the key slot gums up and stops working with lack of use. Try spraying inside the key slot with a releasing oil like WD40, leave it to soak in and try turning the key again. you might need to do this a few times.
Does the trunk have a key slot? Try that as well then you can simply climb over into the front of the van.

1992 audi 500sel trunk lock not responding to the key or remote?

I'm assuming yours is a South African model? Try the simple stuff first. Check the battery in the remote is ok, (Does it work for the doors?). Using the Key manually in the lock should open the trunk as it's an old style 'lock and key'. Check the key slot isn't clogged with dirt or rust. Give it a generous squirt of releasing fluid, (WD40, GT85 or similar). leave it for an hour to soak in then gently work the key left and right to release it. There could be a blown fuse but I don't know which one it is as some vehicle features share a fuse. Has anything else on the car stopped working? Things like the interior light or the cigar lighter? This could be a clue as to which fuse has blown.

How do I get car to run. I broke the key off in an 05 Malibu max. Since then I've lost half the key.. I can get the car to start, but itll only run for a min.. help. I'm broke, , gotta have a way to...

Sorry dude that your broke , the anti-theft system is killing it . The head of the key has a transponder inside . Sends coded message to the BCM - body control module , the BCM then sends a message to the PCM - engine computer over serial data line . If the PCM doesn't see the correct coded message that it has stored in memory it will disable the fuel injectors . Your best bet , call a mobile lock smith an have a new key cut an programmed . That's all you can do .

Astrostart won't start the car

You may need to reset the system.

SEQUENCE ACTIVATED BY THE PARKING BRAKE .
1. While engine is running (key in ignition switch), apply the brakes and hold the pedal down.
2. Move gearshift lever to neutral.
3. Apply the parking brake Once Twice
Note: The system can be set - at time of installation - to require that the parking brake be applied once or twice.
If set for two actuations, pause one second between the two.
4. Remove key from ignition (the system keeps the engine running).
5. Exit the vehicle.
6. Within 60 seconds, close all doors.
7. The system will stop the engine and blink the parking brakes once to confirm the sequence is valid (vehicle is
ready for a remote start command).

5. Remove key from ignition (the system keeps the engine running).
6. Exit the vehicle.
7. Using the remote, send the STOP command. The system will stop the engine and parking lights will blink once
to confirm that the sequence is valid (vehicle is ready for a remote start command).

2003 GMC SIERRA 1500 HD I can enable the keyless entry remote but after three or four uses the system stops responding. changed the battery and checked fuses the locks still work with the inside switches...

  • 1 Put the vehicle in park, and turn the ignition to "On/Run" (don't crank the engine).

  • 2 Press the odometer trip stem on your instrument panel until it displays the message "Relearn Remote Key." Then release the stem.
  • 3 Press and hold the odometer trip stem again for three seconds. You will see the message "Remote Key Learning Active."

  • 4 Press both "Lock" and "Unlock" on your key fob at the same time, and hold the buttons down until a chime sounds. This should take about 15 seconds.
  • 5 Repeat Step 4 for each additional key fob you wish to program.
  • 6 Turn the ignition to "Lock/Off."

My problem seems different than the other posts. My 2007 Boxster front hood continually unlocks. This occurs when the engine is running and also once the engine is off and the key has been removed.

You might have a bad alarm remote. I have seen remotes that have damaged microswitches (the thing that clicks when you press the button) and it might be occasionally sending a signal to the car to pop the hood. If you remove the battery from the remote and the problem disappears then you have the answer.

On my bmw2006 330i it seems that the ignition is not really off after stopping the car. After stopping the engine with the start/stop button and removing the remote key from the slot, the button remains...

In your car the engine starts this way: a code stored in the remote key is sent wirelessly to the receiver in the receptacle (thru its coil antenna) which sends it to the ECM to activate it; then the starter button sends the command for the actual starting.
In your case the receiver appears to keep the code in memory when it shouldn't. Have it replaced. BTW this has absolutely nothing to do with the ignition coil.

    Wont stay running

This sounds like it is your ignition module not sending message o your computer letting know that the key is in the ignition and the car has been started. Replace the ignition module

    Key alarm code

I'm haveing a problem with my 2006 RR Sport car alarm. I can lock the door with the remote, but my alarm keeps going off. It stops but continues to go off during the day. The only message that I have received in the recent month is that my "Bonnett was open". Found out my Bonnett is the hood. Made sure the hood was closed tight and I have not received the message. But the alarm keeps going off.
