There is something I remember and it may be the model you have---Mitsubishi can tell you or you can look for yourself----a few models made at about the time this set was made had 2 mirrors----one a tiny one that faces up and reflects the picture into the large rear mirror.
Dumb idea--the little mirror gets coated with dust and brightness drops up to 70%---
The safe and correct way to know is to remove the entire front screen with its frame---both mirrors (if yours has 2) will be easy to see.
The large mirror hangs at a angle and down so it never gets dirty--don't even think of touching it or using glass cleaner on it--any mark on it will show in the picture.
let me know if you want to remove screen unit to see if one mirror or two---a call to mitsubishi would answer that.
Probably a blown pico fuse on the circuit board, convergence amplifier issue, or blown HOT transistor. Could also be a solder connection on the pc board other bad component. Count the blinks and note any pauses in blinking. This could be a trouble code. Type into google your tv and model number and the words "troublecode ## " if you had one or "steady blinking green light" if it just continuously blinks wit no pauses. See where that takes you... Hope that helps some.
The capacitors on the DM board need replacement, thats a common problem it will work fine but if power is loss even for a minute the capacitor drain, then they cant recharge since they need replacement so the set will just keep blinking the timer light. Installing the V26 DM repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com will usually repair that. The kit contains the Replacement caps and the CD with detailed instructions.
That set is plaqued with bad capacitors on the PWB, FMT and DM doards. Usually all problems assosciated with that model can be attributed to those capacitors. You can purchase a service manual that they will email you at the following link, and they will provide free tech support to help you straighten it out.
