The drain hose and recirculation hoses can be responsible for leaks. The drain hose can cause the dishwasher to fail to drain properly. The recirculation hose can be responsible for problems with poor rinsing of dishes.

To access the drain hose remove the lower panel located beneath the door. The panel is usually held in place with two screws either above or below the panel. It may be necessary to first open the door to the dishwasher to reach the screws over the panel, then close the door to remove the panel.

The drain hose connects to the pump and runs to the sink drain (or to the air gap on top of the sink). The pump has a second hose that recirculates the water back into the dishwasher. The drain hose is roughly 1 1/2 inches in diameter. While inspecting the drain hose, check the recirculation hose as well for blockages.

When checking for leaks, feel the hoses where they connect to the pump, for wetness and check the ground right under the connections. If they are wet, it may be a loose or improperly mounted clamp, a damaged pump housing or a leak in the hose itself.

When checking for blockages, disconnect the drain hose from the pump, pinch the wire clamp with pliers and slide it up the hose. Place a shallow pan beneath the pump to catch any spillage. Remove the hose from the pump; wiggling the hose may help to loosen it.

Check the hose and nipple to the pump for any debris. The only way to be certain the drain hose is completely clear is to disconnect it from the sink and run water through (such as spraying a garden hose through it at full pressure). Disconnect the recirculation hose and check it in the same way.

Reconnect the hoses and replace the clamps. Replace the lower panel and restore electricity to the dishwasher.

Now, if the hoses were not blocked, move on to the pump.

Some models have two impellers inside the pump - one, wash impeller, takes care of the wash cycles, the other, drain impeller, drains the water out. If the drain impeller is broken (broken blades, shaft), the dishwasher will not drain. Replace any broken pump components.

The final area of concern will be the Air gap.

If there is an air gap (located in the sink, near the faucet), check to see if it is clogged. Unscrew the top cap and see if there is anything blocking inside. Note: If there is no air gap installed, the dishwasher might not drain properly.

If the drain hose is clogged, the dishwasher will not drain. If there is an air gap installed, it is very common that a hose going from the air gap into the garbage disposer is clogged. Remove and clean the hose. Make sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher.

Note: If you recently had a garbage disposer installed, it is common to overlook removing the drain plug.

That will conclude the necessary check points for this issue. check all areas carefully.

NOTE_ Worst case scenario will be a failed pump.

Dishwasher ADPU 701 WH showes error code F6 E1. Stopped mid cycle. How can I drain the machine ?

Error code F6 E1 on a Dishwasher ADPU 701 WH typically indicates a problem with the water pump or drain system. It is possible that the dishwasher stopped mid-cycle because the pump is clogged or the drain is blocked.

To drain the machine, you can try the following steps:

Unplug the dishwasher: To ensure your safety, unplug the dishwasher from the power outlet before attempting any repairs.

Locate the drain hose: The drain hose is typically located at the back of the dishwasher, near the bottom.

Detach the drain hose: Use a pair of pliers to gently loosen the clamp that secures the drain hose to the dishwasher. Then, carefully remove the hose from the dishwasher.

Place the drain hose in a bucket or sink: Position the end of the drain hose in a bucket or sink to allow the water to drain out.

Check for blockages: Inspect the drain hose for any blockages or debris that may be causing the error code. Use a small brush or toothpick to remove any blockages.

Reattach the drain hose: Once you have cleared any blockages, reattach the drain hose to the dishwasher and secure it with the clamp.

Plug in the dishwasher: Once the drain hose is securely in place, you can plug the dishwasher back in and try running a cycle to see if the error code persists.

When I start my dishwasher it start to run then it stop and flashes se code what causes that

If your dishwasher is displaying error code 5E, It can be caused by a kinked drain hose.
If the drain hose is kinked, there will be an excessive amount of water in the bottom of your dishwasher after a cycle has been completed.
In order to access the drain hose you need access to the back of the dishwasher. If your dishwasher was recently installed, contact the installer to move the dishwasher and inspect the drain hose.
If the drain hose is not kinked, but your dishwasher is still not draining, service is required.

Dishwasher not draining

Hi,

Thanks for writing to Fixya.com.

To fix a dishwasher that will not drain, remove any clogs that are blocking the drain line by pouring a paste of baking soda, vinegar and water down the drain, and then pouring boiling water to clear the clog. Repeat the process several times to remove a severely clogged dishwasher drain. Thanks for contacting Fixya and please accept the solution if it has helped you.

MY SON'S DISHWASHER WON't drain

Hello there:
Please try these things below my post and click on the links that are available for you ok
I hope that tthis is very helpful for you
best regards michael
Water will not drain from my dishwasher. Investigate these six areas if water will not drain from your dishwasher :
dishwasher_drain-hose.jpg Drain Hose

It is quite common for a dishwasher to not drain because either the drain hose or the air gap (if the unit has one) is clogged up. Drain hose clogs commonly occur where the hose is attached to the main household drain line, or where the hose connects with the garbage disposer. Try removing the drain hose to unclog any debris. Don't forget to reattach the hose before you start your dishwasher again.
dishwasher_pump-repair-kit.jpg Pump Assembly

The pump assembly is comprised of a pump, wash impeller, and drain impeller. The pump ejects the water from the unit, the wash impeller pushes water through the spray arm, and the drain impeller directs the water towards the drain port. Examine your dishwasher's pump assembly. Clean out any debris that may be blocking it. Replace the pump assembly if any of its parts appear to be worn or defective.
dishwasher_belt.jpg Belt

It isn't very common, but sometimes a dishwasher's pump assembly is driven by a belt. If that belt becomes worn and defective, then it cannot properly run the pump that drains your dishwasher's tub. If your dishwasher uses a drive belt, examine it now. If it shows signs of wear, replace it.
dishwasher_timer.jpg Timer

A defective timer could interfere with a dishwasher's ability to drain properly. Test your dishwasher's timer mechanism. If it is faulty, replace it. Keep in mind that you can replace either the entire timer assembly or just the timer's motor.
dishwasher_motor.jpg Motor

The motor plays a key role in a dishwasher's ability to drain water. If your dishwasher's motor is not functioning properly, it will negatively affect the draining capability of your machine. Test your dishwasher's motor for continuity. If it fails the test, replace the motor.
dishwasher_drain-solenoid.jpg Drain Valve and/or Solenoid

In some models, a valve has to open in order for the water to drain out of the dishwasher. This valve is controlled by a solenoid, but it is the timer that decides when the valve should open. If your timer is working fine, check the drain valve and its solenoid. If need be, replace them.
