My Fossil ES-9439 watch will run for several hours and then stop. If you reset it, it will run for several more hours and then stop again. It has a brand new battery. Any ideas what is wrong and if it is worth being fixed?

SOURCE: Brand new watch won't work

Check your users manual if your watch have two batteries. If yes, you need to replace digital part battery.
If your watch has only one battery, your digital screen or plate is defective. Bring it back to the retailer and ask to replace for the decently working watch.
But first of all try to fiddle with all pushbattons- sometimes it helps.

SOURCE: Fossil watch dead

1)Get the battery out again and check for power. 1,5 Volt batteries should be 1,52V - 1,54V and the 3Volt batteries shold be 3,1V - 3,3V in charge.
2)Take the hardened steel needle or watchmakers screwdriver and clean (scrape) both contacts off any visible residue till they are shiny. aaaaaaaUce dust blower to get rid of scrape-offs.
3)Make sure the contacts are touching the corresponding battery side only and not shortcuting the battery.

Do not forget to rate please.

I have a fossil ES-1355 watch and it running slow. I installed a new battery and still running slow. Is there an adjustment I can make.

most batteries that run of a battery are controlled by a frequency crystal or electronic setting and is not adjustable
however take it to a watchmaker or jeweller as it may be adjustable using their instruments

HOW TO WORK THE SUB DIALS

This is an Architect Chronograph. To start the chronograph press the top start button. To stop it press it again. To reset it press the reset or bottom button. The sub dials are minutes, hours, and seconds.

Fossil ch 2470 watch. I have no idea what the extra little dials are for on the face and how to set them. Please help

The dials are part of a Chronograph (stop watch) I assume there is a second, minute, and maybe a date function. Usually the large second hand is part of the stop watch on only moves when you start the stopwatch (top right button) push again to stop and reset back too zero is the bottom button. Usually to set or zero out those dials pull out the crown to the first click (also sets date) then push the top button to set the seconds (big hand) and the bottom button to set the other. sometimes you may need to pull the crown out to the second click (also sets hour and minutes) to set add'l dials. This is generally how you set most chronograph watches the button you push and what moves may be different.

Set?

Press Both side buttons at the same time. This should reset the hours and minute mini-circles. Then use the top button to "start" the second hand moving again. press it again to stop the second hand. I'm unaware as to how to restart the bottom seconds circle.

The watch stops instead of the chrono

On this type of watch the second should not be working unless you are in the chrono mode. The lower dial should be the only indication of the seconds when not in chrono mode. You probably need to have the chrono reset and shown how the functions work. Try a Fossil location they will be able to tell you how to work this watch. It does not sound like this is a major problem.
