For people who have experienced this issue in the past there are five capacitors which dry out after a number of 4 years. they are 4700uF 6.3V x 2, 2200uF 6.3V and 1000uf 16v x 3. on the power supply board of the TV. They are obvious to spot as there is a defined bulge on the top where electrolyte gasses have expanded the lids. This is normally due to low cost crappy capacitors. Capacitor life in general is about 8000 Hrs continually used, so if its running for 5 hrs per day, you can expect a minimum of 4 to 5 year out of the televisions before experiencing power supply issues. Additionally there are two diodes in the power supply with small heat-sinks attached. These devices get somewhat warm and the joints around their legs if no soldered correctly at the time of manufacture become weak and crack.

Is it normal for an acoustic solution 24" LCD TV to stay for like 10seconds before coming up after switching on from the stand by mode?

10 seconds doesn't seem an excessive amount of time. Standby is supposed to be a power saving mode - the fewer parts of the circuit that are kept in complete readiness for switch on, the less power will be saved.

These days there is much prejudice against using the standby mode and it would be expected designers would respond to this by changing the internal arrangements so standby consumes less power so when the set is switched on it will take time for capacitors to charge and digital computers to fully boot and so forth.
Think of it not so much as a TV but as a computer. A 10 second reboot from the sleep mode wouldn't be so unusual...

If the TV works ok otherwise you probably have no worries...

I have an alba 32inch tv and the sound keeps turning off we have to then switch tell off for a minute to get sound back but the sound is gone again in 5 min only 2 years old

sound like there is a over heat / or failure of some circuits

32 inch are quite cheap now, so it maybe something you should re-place,

or flog to a 2nd hand shop if it last long enough to sell during test

Acoustic Solutions LCD26761HDF TV turned itself off & standby light started flashing. TV wont respond to remote or on set buttons

The solution to Acoustic Solutions problems, such as intermittant power off and flashing blue light is very simple: dump it in the trash. This product has lots of problems which are associated with memory and timing. There is no software update available, its just cheap Chinese ****.

Sony Bravia 32 inch HD LCD tv has vertical lines going down 2/3 of screen. No idea what problem is. Tv is less than a year old, but I have lost the receipt. Anyone had this problem or know what may be...

We had a similar issue although our Sony Bravia was 21 months old. We were told by an engineer that the panel has failed and that the cost of replacing it would be about 900. We were also told that this is a very common fault and that the "normal" failure time was within 18mths to 3 years. If you registered your TV purchase with Sony, it might be worth contacting them with the serial number to see if you could get it repaired under guarantee. We have now bought a TV with a 5 year guarantee!!! (not a Sony!!!!)
