Hi, yes of course it is. I know there seems to be much mis-information out there, but small loads are not an issue at all. You must only insure the few items in the machine are of similar or "like" materials so the unit can balance when performing the spin cycle. Also be sure to adjust the amount of detergent and a lesser spin speed will likely be adequate. (delicate cycle maybe ?) Hope that answer's your question. Thanks for visiting fixya and please take a moment to rate the info provided for you by me here today and comment if you like. Good luck. Macmarkus :)

I have a Whirlpool ZUltimate Care II Washer, Model 3XLSQ7533JQ2. Washer keeps filling in the medium and the super wash level and will not go into the agitation cycle. Works on small load level only.

Hello,

SInce the washer works ok on the small load size yet overflows on all others the problem is going to be with the water level switch and it should be replaced to remedy that problem.

The part number for that water level switch is W10339229 it could be purchased at your local appliance parts store or online at

I have a new washing machaine otsein hoover is it ok to put a a small fridge on top of the machaine

I would not really recommend it as the fridge would be subject to vibration from the washer and the washer is not specified as part of a stackable system. That said it depends what you mean by a 'small fridge' and how much it weighs.

Washer will overfill on small load and large

If this happens only on small load cycle , then it can be a faulty timer board.

however check also the water level switch, when there is overfilling this part is always the first suspect.

Smelly drum

is the water draining ok and is washer spining ok?,if this problem is recent a small kids sock or something could be sitting somewhere beside element or in drain pipework, first you could try a 90degree wash with nothing in drum, this will get rid of any undissolved detergent/powder which can stink sometimes if low temp washes are used alot

Water drains underneath washer

the load could be to small and all the water whats been left after the wash might be because you only need small pressure on a small wash and the pressure wont make the water evaporate. or you might just need a new drainage pipe i would put less water in next time and see if its better if not get a local self employed plumber.

Frigidaire FTF530FS Front Load washer

Take off the lower panel. Inspect the shocks too see if they are damaged. If they are OK turn the wash basket by hand if the knock is heard then most likely you have a broken wash basket.
