Hi, yes of course it is. I know there seems to be much mis-information out there, but small loads are not an issue at all. You must only insure the few items in the machine are of similar or "like" materials so the unit can balance when performing the spin cycle. Also be sure to adjust the amount of detergent and a lesser spin speed will likely be adequate. (delicate cycle maybe ?) Hope that answer's your question.
