If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.
Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

You should also ensure that the charger is working when the power is on. When you go into Windows click on START --> CONTROL PANEL --> POWER SETTINGS. The hard drive is going to fail in the near future. I recommend you back up your data before the hard drive fails completely.
When the hard drive fails, replace the hard drive, and use your Compaq recovery disk to install Windows and the device drivers plus your programs to get the laptop working again.

It should caused by a power supply too weak or not stable problem.HP Compaq nx6110 PC always happen to this problem.

its a software issue.
try reinstalling the webcam driver, if the problem remains there then reinstall the operating system
