Cubase will not sync as a slave. Im using my keyboard as the master because it contains all the tempo change info. I have called every customer service line available. I have done everything they said and they dont know why it doesnt work. I just want to make cubase the damn slave!!! I have set my keyboard to internal midi clock, set up cubase as reciving...EVERYTHING cubase support told me. Their solution to the problem.. "I'd don't know what else to tell u" WTF?

SOURCE: tascam us 144 sync problems with cubase le

Hey lea,

i have a similar setup (Cubase LE & Tascam 144) and each time i start up Cubase i have to make sure there is no digital input going to the tascam. once cubase is started up but no project loaded i plug in my spdif from my DAT machine and then open my project and all is fine. does that answer part of your question?

i have a different problem though, i'm trying to record my DAT tapes which are recorded at 32khz and cubase doesn't recognize that sample rate properly. it'll record no problem, and play them back fine, but exporting always creates mismatched sample rates in the exported file. sucks big time and i have got no idea on how to fix it either.

How do i record drums from drum kit

Hello nastyneph320:
Computer connectivity (via USB, Ethernet or the FW16E FireWire option) and DAW integration features like 8 zone Master mode, DAW remote control and cross platform editors let you seamlessly integrate the Motif with any DAW software, including the bundled Cubase AI software.

Translated it means that you can use USB, Ethernet, or FireWire connection to your PC and use DAW or Cubase AI software for recording. But I'm pretty sure you could use some other type of software for recording as long as it accepts your Keyboard.

Don't forget to vote with a thumbs up if this helped.

Trouble with hooking mpc4k and korg triton pro to mbox

you will want your triton midi-in to go to your mpc midi-outB

then your mpc midi-inA to go to your mbox
your mpc midi-outA to go to your mbox

that should get you good for midi cables....

on the mpc, everytime you want to record a track using instruments from your mpc you will need to set a new track. on the main screen you would go to a new track (where Tr:01-Track-01 is) and change S:DRUM1 to S:MIDI, then to the right of that where it says OFF, turn that to 1A-Device01 ... you will have to make a new track for each instrument you use to help when bouncing tracks to mbox. for instance 1A-Device01 is the 1st track on your triton, 2A-Device02 is your second track and so on. make sure you also make a new track each time for where Tr:01-Track-01 is also for each instrument.

for the mbox i might be a little rusty on this so im going to post a quote from another site....

"in Pro Tools, go to setup - midi - midi studio. this is where you tell pro tools where your midi devices are connected. next, go to setup - midi - midi beat clock. you want to 'enable midi beat clock' and select the devices that are going to be receiving midi beat clock. all devices that you setup under midi studio should be showing. next, set pro tools' tempo for the session if you haven't already. This setup is based on Pro Tools being the MASTER device and the other device(s) SLAVE(S). Make sure that on your hardware/midi interface that the midi output is going to the midi input on the slave devices. On the mpc, press mode, then pad 9 and go to the sync tab. Choose "slave" under "sync in" and the port, 1 or 2, that your mpc will receive midi input. That's it!! When you start Pro Tools' sequencer, the mpc should start too at the same bar/beat location. I've tried slaving Pro Tools to the MPC1000 and Fantom Xa on diff. occasions but I could never get them in sync with Pro Tools. Tried diff. framerates and settings, but still, no luck. So I prefer using Pro Tools as the MASTER sending midi beat clock. Another thing, make sure that whatever you're tracking into Pro Tools doesn't change tempo during the song. If so, you'll have to edit tempo events in the tempo ruler. Hope this helps!!"

let me know if you need any more help.

Cloning
These radios support cloning parameters between a master and slave radio.
Cloning only transfers the user's settings from the master radio to the slave. Things like tuning values, serial number, etc. are not changed.
To clone a master radio to a slave (target), perform the following:
    • Make sure both radios are off
    • Connect the cloning cable between the two radios through the programming port
    • Turn on the slave radio
    • Press and hold the "A" button on the master radio and turn it on
    • The master radio will display CLONE if cloning can proceed, otherwise an error will be displayed
    • The slave radio will display PROG while it is being programmed
    • When cloning is complete, the master radio will display END and the slave radio will reset automatically
    • Disconnect the radios from the cloning cable

Delay on keyboard when using with cubase and reason

this is because of the lantency of your sound card and your driver settings.

with 2 seconds,
that sounds like you're using a MME driver for your card.

try to change the driver to ASIO (if possible),
if not, change it to directX

you can do that that way:

- Open up Devices > Device Setup > VST Multitrack

- Drop-down the ASIO Driver settings on the right side of the screen
