Loud grinding noice before starting to print

My PSC1210 often makes a loud grinding noice as if there is something jammed, whenever I power it up or when I try to print. Printing still seems to work, just annoyed with this loud sound whenever I try to print.

Mine makes a grinding noise when scanning or making copies. As long as everything is working, I just tolerate the noise in which the rest of the staff find amusing at first and then ignore it as I do.

My Dell 2135cn printer all the sudden started making crazy loud grinding noises. Then I got a paper jam. I fixed the paper jam and tried to print again, but got the loud grinding noises and paper jam...

Refer to the service manual in disassembling the device.. Clean it thoroughly then try it again.. If, you have no experience in doing so, hire a qualified tech to do so.

The cars making a grinding noice when i turn the wheel to the right, its a loud scraping the brakes seem to be alright, can havin a blown shock have something to do with that? If so how hard is it to change...

you could have bad cv joints. does it make a popping or crunching noise as well? I would also take a closer look at the inner pads as well the inners wear out quicker.

Whenever I go to print something, my printer makes a really loud grinding noise and occasionally jams paper. What could it be?

It can be that the paper drawing mechanism of the roller and the geared drive has an issue, possible that the motor has a play with the roller out of alignment , producing a difference of gap in the roller settings. If so the paper will be drawn into in different lengths so as to jam with the uneven pulling.

Brother MFC-9420CN Paper Jam Error message w/ loud grinding noiz

please try this

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

Loud noise

My Dishwasher had the same loud Grinding Noise.
It was a piece of a plastic fork lodged behind the macerator blade.
This is at the suction to the pump just under the strainer. check this out first before you pull everything apart. You should be able to get to it by taking the lower arm off and pulling the strainer out. Hope this helps.
