Hello. All tv's accept the new signal. If you get your signal from satellite or cable, the box will make the signal compatible with your tv. IF you get your signal from an antenna, you may need a converter box, available from places like radio shack and staples.

Which HDMI Dongle is compatible with Sony Bravia KLV-32NX500 to make it a smart TV ? Please suggest.

As the HDMI input of TVs are only meant to accept video signals (to set HDMI specifications), any SMART TV dongle that attaches to the HDMI port is going to output a video signal compatible with the set HDMI specification. A modern TV like yours will be able to accept the digital video signal from any dongle, as it accepts all the common modern formats (1080p, 1080i, 720p, 576p, 576i, 480p, 480i)

How do i see digital tv with my sony kp-53v75

If its an older set, it probably wont accept digital TV programs. You will need to get a set top box to convert the digital signal to work with your TV.

The SIGNAL: ANALOG won't disappear even though I've gone through the menu and selected my input OPT: CD/DVD/TV whatever it may be. How do I get my optical input recognized by the receiver? Is it broken?

It will change automatically once it detects a suitable digital signal.

So yes it could actually be faulty but more likely you aren't sending a suitable format digital signal from the source. check the digital audio output settings on whatever device you are using
old dvd players will output PCM 2 channel digital or bitstream multichannel (dolby dig or DTS) which your unit can handle whilst new blurays will have some very hi bit rates -eg192khz 24bit. You may need to lower the output in the menus to get the Pioneer to accept them.

It is always possible the optic has got kinked or fractured, which causes light scattering/corruption and will cause the same symptom

Digitial reception for casio 980

You won't. Because the unit isn't likely to have an coaxial external cable input, there is no simple way to achieve this. Full-size sets not equipped for digital signals can accept the down-converted signal from a converter box that receives the digital signal and converts it to NTSC standards for older sets. Direct reception of the new signal requires an ATSC tuner and there is no way to provide that for your hand-held. It would be possible to use the output of a converter box clipped onto the antenna of your Casio and see the channels the converter box can receive but your hand-held wouldn't be very portable anymore. Sorry-

When the digital requirements for the june 12 change came our new polaroid 15/19 inch flat screen tv would only receive 1 station clearly and the picture does not fill out the screen. What's wrong? It is...

Did you rescan your stations yet? When they made the transition, many, if not most, TV stations changed numbers on the dial. Enter the menu on your TV and manually tell it to rescan the stations. This should resolve the problem.

Cannot get my goodmans 289ns to accept the virgin digital signal

Will the TV go to channel 3? if not you need to reporogram the TV to sence channel 3 or go into the setup and undelete channel 3. Channel 3 is the channel your digital box is set to boradcast to the tv itself.
