Quit trying to get it to do anything until it's TOTALLY dry. The best way to get it dried out is to put it in a container filled with rice, then put it in a warm place, like in the sun coming through a window or even an oven with the temperature set to the lowest setting. Let it rest that way for 24 hours (at least) before trying to do anything else with it. It "may" dry out and work again.
First, I would take the phone back to the store, and see if its covered by the manufactures warranty. If that doesn't work you will need to replace your screen, the cheapest way I know of is Ebay, but assembling is required. I hope this helps .

Did this happen all of a sudden? Was the phone dropped? Chances are the backlight in the screen went out or the ribbon cable inside the phone that connects the screen some how came loose.
first of all tell me what kind of model u have and the brand of ur phone. if u have any kind of flip or slide phone then it is because of strip brakage. Totally or partially. If the strip is partially broken then can be repaired if totally or more than repairable then u have to replace the strip and ur cell will be in working position.
