Screen freeze my screen freezes before it gets to the title screen

let me guess , hp has no support now in this old thing and you need help.question 1: why use this thing,question 2, how much will you spend on this worthless broken thing? or buy parts, or batteries for it or 3 how much labor on such and old thing is warranted.?

Hi, I believe you're asking about 'freezing panes'...

In Microsoft Excel 2007:

1. Select the place on the spreadsheet where you want the row titles to appear
2. Click on the View tab
3. Click on Freeze Panes button
4. Select Freeze Panes

Or, you could be asking about defining print rows to appear at the top of each page:

1. Select the Page Layout tab
2. Click Print Titles
3. Enter the Rows to Repeat at Top (e.g., 1:3 for the first 3 rows)

I've read that deleting the files for the game and/or signing out of PSN helps (I haven't tried either, but I can't get past the title screen and cutscenes without my PS3 freezing)

Well your disc is officially garbage because it's scratched for sure. Don't bother trying to fix your game disc. Do what I did. Go to sellitbroken.com and sell your game to them. They will give you good money for it.

If you can get to it without it freezing use the System Restore function under:

System->Settings>Restore PS3

If you can't get to it because of freezing you should put your hard drive into another PS3. It will see it as a new drive and prompt you to format it. Afterwards put it back into your PS3 and it will do the same thing again.

It doesn't matter which PS3 yours or the one you put your hard drive into, they're all the same as far as the process goes.

This will fix it for sure.

it sounds like your chip is fried same problem i had send it to microsoft!!

You may very well have a bug in one of your saved files/downloads.
To fix this issue, what you will need to do, is delete your gamertag, basically to refresh your xbox HDD, then go to xbox live and go to RECOVER GAAMERTAG,place the email address you used to originally set it up, and recover it. this HAS happened to me once before, and this has a 99.99% of working, now before you start worring, you will not lose your gamertag altogether,....unless you forgot your email address. Let me know how this goes,

It's the ps3 it self , what happens its that the way they design the chips it gets over heated and cause the pc board to have disconnected component from the pc board. If you still have warrant ,send it back for repair.

I have the same problem. I called tech support 1-866-726-3475 and they talked me thru several cures. None of which worked. My unit is about 8 months old. After trying all the options, they gave me a rma number and are sending me a replacement. I think they have had some trouble with this lot of players, they were very nice and it took no prodding from me for a replacement! Good Luck1
