SOURCE: Pro-Form Sport 1000 treadmill does not stop inclining

Do a Calibration on the treadmill. Take out the safety key. With 2 fingers, hold down the stop button and the speed up or spped plus button. keep holding them down as you insert the safety key, then let go of both.
Press the stop button 1 time, you should see all 0's in the windows, or EP 2P or something weird like that.
Press the Incline up button and then wait. If the incline go up until it stalls then down until it stalls the stops at the bottom, the you are recalibrated, take out the safery key and put it back in to see if all is well. If the incline takes off up again without touching a button, the you have wiring problems or control problems. Call service company to get it repaired.

Treadmill is stuck in the full incline position

Tim may not be a easy fix, you may have to dismantle and lube riser slides as it sounds like they are stuck

I have a c950pro. Console says it's at max incline. But it's level. All it will do is beep when you push any button

Calibrate the incline by holding the stop and speed + button at the same time as putting the safety key on. Press stop button once and then press the +incline button and treadmill should calibrate the incline. If that does not you need a new incline motor. shoot me a email at [email protected] and I might have a incline motor for you

Incline problem

All icon models are the same. The easiest way to incline calibration is to start the treadmill, push the incline up button and then after you release the button, remove the safety key. Replace the safety key and the treadmill should calibrate.
If that doesn't work, press the stop and speed up buttons and hold, then place the safety key in place. This will bring you to the speed/incline calibration. Press stop again. now press incline up. This will run the incline calibration.
You may need to remove the hood and manually with a drill lower the motor. Using a slot screwdriver bit, lower the motor a bout 50 turns and then try the procedure above again if necessary.

I have a Proform 585 and the incline won't go up or down. When I push the button you can here the motor trying but nothing happens. Please help

As you are hearing the motor sound, It could be a problem as simple as the gearbox on the motor being jammed. We can remove the motor from the treadmill, reconnect the wiring, and then try to run the incline motor outside the treadmill. Many times, this will unjam it if that is the problem and then reinstalling it in the treadmill will get it to work. If you have the same problem or it doesn't run outside the machine and you can hear it try to work, you need to replace the incline motor.

Is there an online repair manual for the Golds Gym Advantage Treadmill? I'm trying to solve an incline problem. The incline does not go up when I push the incline button. I just get a series of beeps...

Your owners manual describes how to perform an incline calibration. Here are the instructions.
Start the machine running. Press and hold the incline up button. While the numbers are changing, remove the safety key. Reinstall the safety key. The treadmill should rise to maximum incline, then lower to minimum. After completing the cycle, the treadmill should function correctly.
If not, you may have a damaged wiring harness (caused during assembly) or a defective incline sensor.
If the sensor is defective, you will need to replace the incline motor.

I have an Insight DK614 Tredmill that will not run. It displays an error message "E6" and the running deck will not lower. The motor is still running albeit at a much lower rate. No movement...

E6 or E7 An E6 or E7 error code is an incline error code. The E7 code means the potentiometer value the console is reading from the lift motor is out of range. This can happen when there is a bad wire harness connection or a damaged wire harness. It could also just mean the incline motor needs to be adjusted back into range. If all wire connections look ok, the incline motor will need to be adjusted.
  1. Turn the power OFF, wait for 5-seconds and turn back ON.
  2. Get into test mode and enter through the I/O testing step. This screen will display the potentiometer value of the incline motor. Different models will have different values. Check to see if the running deck is raised to high incline level or if it is at the low level. If the running deck is at a low position press the incline up button. This will cause the incline motor to raise the running deck up. When the deck gets to a mid-level position, press the incline up button a second time to stop the deck. If the running deck is in a high incline position, use the incline down button to adjust the deck to a mid-level position.
  3. Once the unit is in the mid-level position, power the treadmill off for 5-seconds and then power it back ON.
  4. Start the treadmill.
  5. Once the treadmill starts the running deck will move to the level 0 position. If this does not resolve the issue or it will not adjust please contact customer service.
Also, note that not all models will have the ability to adjust the incline motor. If the adjustment procedure is not found in the Owner's Manual then contact customer service. Treadmill Error Codes Troubleshooting

Incline is stuck, motor still runs?

First try to calibrate the incline as described in your owners manual.
Start the machine. Press the incline up button. While pressing the button, remove the safety key.
Release the inline up button and reinsert the safety key. The machine should run the full cycle, up to maximum elevation, then back down.
If the motor moves and then resets, you may have an incline motor sensor defect. You will need to order a new incline motor. The sensor is not available separately..

Our Proform Sport 1000 treadmill will not run because the elevation will not go to 0 degrees. I can hear a clicking as if the teadmill is trying to go flat, but is slipping.

The incline operation and the walking belt operation are independent of each other. The walking belt should run regardless of the incline operation.
Although I have never had a problem with the gears in the incline motor being defective, you may need the motor replaced.. Try an incline calibration.
With the safety key in place, press start to start the machine. Press incline up. While the numbers are changing, remove the safety key. Release the incline up button. Reinstall the key, the machine should calibrate . After calibration, retry the operation normally.
Because the circumstances here are unusual, I would next disassemble the right upright and inspect the wiring harness for damage. During assembly, it is easy to pinch the harness (usually at the bottom of the upright), damaging the wiring to the console. The console may work, the the information may not get to the motor control PCB. The machine may have worked for a period of time before the damage became apparent, the flexing and movement of the frame eventually will eat through the wiring causing a number of unusual symptoms.

Nordictrack motor will not run when start button is pushed.

Likely the cover of one of the motor brushes popped off. Unplug the machine before you pop it back in place, then try it again.

If that doesn't work, most likely it's the motor control board, or possibly the console, or finally just a loose connection behind the console.

But most likely, it's the motor brush cover. I've been seeing that alot with this model.
