Howdy,
The problem is with the EEPROM in the TV that needs to be reprogrammed. But you need to have the proper Correction Tool (LSUQ0100).
I don't think it's available to the public. Call a Service Company, but make sure they have the “Correction Tool”.

TV picture goese black and white

Check your cables on the back of the TV and cable box. You either have it connected wrong, or they are loose. If you are using red green and blue, make sure that you are tightly in the red green and blue connectors. If you are using yellow white and red, then make sure you don't have the yellow in the green spot.

I have a Emerson 32" LC 320 EM1F, When I press power button, green light flashes 12 times then red light comes on and goes to standby. What seems to be the problem? How can I fix it?

It sounds that the main digital board has damaged. 12 blinks indicates it. if you wish to know more check this link for more details about 12 blinks to Emerson TVs

Can dust build up on a picture tube's circuit board cause them to overheat and shut the tv down.

dust will not cause an issue like this in this type of set--RCA? it means a short of some type exists and the set shuts down or blanks the tubes--all you have described as far as appearance is normal.

RCA sets like this can be difficult to repair and also if you Google the model number you will see they have a lot of "problems".

Everything has a green crystalization, green tint or otherwise fuzziness... Also seems that anything red is also screwed up. Ive tried everything on the TV to fix it.

You could have one three component cables (red, blue, green) not put in the right spot on the back of the TV.

If you are not using a component cable, then the problem can be either the Main board and or the Time Control board.

Try using a different input on the back of the TV, or even using a different device into the back of the TV. This will tell you if the problem is with that one input on the back of the TV or if the problem is with the TV itself.

Red spots

I had red and green spots, and I called the service department at the furniture store where we purchased our 42" TV. They said it needed to be updated, and they picked it up, fixed it, and delivered it back to the house for about $25.00. We had a warranty, so it only cost for coming to the house twice... No more spots!

Could you show a picture of the distended cover you mentioned?

Were the light blue lines you were referring to, diagonal, or truly horizontal?

Color wrong and red spots

Sounds like CCD sensor problem . It starts with 'noisy' pictures ( colors not true and resolution deteriorates )but eventually the sensor stops outputting anything and you end up with blank screen. Have the sensor replaced and camera will work fine.
