SimpleTech SimpleDrive 640 GB external USB harddrive wont turn on

My SimpleTech SimpleDrive 640 GB external USB hard drive will not turn on when plugged in. Only turns on after being plugged in for at least half an hour and the problem starts all over again every time I move it. Any idea as to why?

Loose connection inside the Drive case. Remove drive and check internal wiring.

Device no reconized , my W7 don't want install drivers for simpledrive 640 GB pinifarina

The usb device not recognized error generally means the right drivers are not present on the computer. I would expect that Windows 7 can recognize most external HDD automatically, but you might need to install a driver for it.
But try the disk on a different USB port, or even computer, to see if it still works properly.

Why wont it work?

doesn't seem that "Simple" if you ask me. I don't think PC hard disks are compatible with Mac's. you might have to get a Mac compatible External HD.
