Samsung DVR Combo no work

To perform a factory reset on the Night Owl DVR-HDA10P82-RS, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the DVR.
2. Locate the reset button, which is usually a small button located inside the DVR or on the back panel.
3. Press and hold the reset button.
4. While holding the reset button, turn on the DVR.
5. Continue holding the reset button for approximately 15 seconds, or until the front panel LEDs begin to flash.
6. Release the reset button.
7. Wait for the DVR to restart and initialize, which may take several minutes.

After the reset, all settings will be restored to their default values, and all recordings and other data will be lost. Be sure to back up any important information before performing a factory reset.

1. Power off the DVR: Make sure the DVR is powered off by disconnecting it from the power source.
2. Locate the reset button: On the back or bottom of the DVR, you should find a small reset button. It is often recessed and may require a pointed object like a paperclip or pin to press.
3. Press and hold the reset button: Using a suitable tool, press and hold the reset button for about 15 to 30 seconds. This will reset the DVR to its default settings, including the password.

   • Password: The default password is typically either blank (no password) or set to "4321". If none of these options work, refer to the DVR's documentation or contact Samsung's technical support for assistance.

The password will be the latest password that was set on the DVR. If no password has ever been set, then it will be the default.

   • HOME
   • VOLUME UP
2. The unit should power on. Once it does, you can release power.
3. Use the volume UP and Down buttons to select "Wipe/Factory Reset" from the recovery menu.
4. Activate the reset using the HOME button.
   When the DVR goes through it's setup again, it will be at factory defaults. The password will be 4321.

Samsung Security DVR Reset Procedure #4 This reset will work on SDR models. It may also work on other models.

1. With just the cameras showing, press the following in quick succession using the remote:
   • Freeze
   • Alarm
   • Freeze
   • Alarm
   • Freeze
   • Menu
   • Enter
2. Make sure you press them quickly, one after the other. If it doesn't work the first time, try doing it several times. It can take many tries to get the timing right. If/when it works, you should get a screen that gives you the option to reset.

Samsung Security DVR Reset Procedure #5 This reset will work on SDR models where procedure #4 failed. It may also work on other models.

1. Press the DVR Button to place the system in DVR Mode
2. Press:
   • Freeze
   • View
   • Return

As with Procedure #4, you may need to press Freeze, View, and Return in in quick succession a few times to get it to work. The timing can be tricky.

You haven't given enough details about the fault to your Combo. What do you mean my 'power button has coninuity on board'. I assumes that you get power LED at the front of your device lights up when you switch ON the main power switch, and the unit refuses to power ON and work further. If so, just make a factory reset to this set as it will reset the memory IC. To reset the unit to its factory reset do the folloing. But to do this, the power LED on the front panel of the unit should light up. Otherwise, the fault will be to its power regulator section. To reset the unit to factory reset:
[1] Turn the Power ON.
[2] Hold down both PLAY/REPET and FF on the unit more than 5 seconds. The power will shut OFF. Please ignore "NO CASETTE" warning.
[3] Perform initial set up refering to its user manual. You can see instructions to initial setup at page [16] of the user manual to your device. OK.

Press the Power Freeze and the Power Cool button at the same time. Hold for 10 seconds and the digital panel reset.

the power supply is bad.
I had to same problem with mine after a power outage. Luckily I had a spare TIVO series 2 receiver with an identical power supply. Popped it in the busted TIVO and I am back in business.
